We've had several coastal CSR Rendezvous meet-ups over the years, and we could do another this year if there's interest. Last year, we met up at the beautiful marina on Bald Head Island, NC near Wilmington.

Because we had such a great time last year, I'll start by suggesting that we meet on Bald Head again. For me, Charleston would be another good choice. There are great marinas there as well, and some beautiful anchorages if some want to anchor.

But if there are other suggestions, please post here.

In any case, if you're interested in a coastal rendezvous, please post here, and let's get a discussion going!

Thanks--Sadler

I would love to join you all, but would have to ride with somebody.

Sadler, Bald Head is always awesome, and would work for me.
Charleston is always awesome, and would work for me......also.
Georgetown is nice, as would be some of the Myrtle Beach area marinas.
Murrell's Inlet would be great! Alot of seafood, and close to alot of action. Kinda in the middle too!
I've never been to Willmington????
Hilton Head Island would be nice.

In other words, anywhere that gets decided on will work for me! haha Now set a date.......that's always the hard part!

Count us in if we are available the weekend it is planned. I still have great memories of the 2007 rendevous - in spite of my blown engine and Mike's costly encounter with the wake police :( I still have the shirt LOL

Don't remind me, I was my own worst enemy too! I can still remember you sitting there with your mouth open. Well, the police made me mad! haha

Have not been before, but would be very interested in attending - especially in Wilmington, our home port or the Bald Head Island area. Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach sure has a lot to offer as far as restaurants and great boating beaches, like Masonboro, Figure Eight and Carolina Beach (where you can 4 wheel it as well).

I would love to meet the gang if y'all come south!
Also, Marti and I are planning a trip up to Charleston June 26-30.

We will be at the Charleston Harbor Marina June 20 - July 15. Hope to see some of you.

Jim:

Are you staying in a wet slip during this time on the 280? That sounds like a good vacation!

Okay I'll be the first to throw up specific ideas. If it don't work for anyone else that's fine; I'm just throwing out the parameters around the best chance for us to attend... that's me, Ashli, and of course our dog Durango. :)

We love Carolina Beach - it's our favorite go-to spot as landlubbers but we've never boated there. However it will be hard to trailer there and farther from where we store our boat - remember that I'm hauling a three ton boat/trailor with just a modified Ford Explorer. Basically the best scenario for us is Charleston; it's all easy Interstate Hwy straight down all the way to the coast. The farther north we meet, the harder to tow and the more expensive it will be for me: but still doable so that's a secondary issue. Primary is that my schedule has me working on the first and fourth Sundays of every month, so those are a nogo for us... with one exception late July. I think the best weekend for us would be July 26-28th.

There ya go. First shot idea at the 2013 Rendevous, just to start things off.

Marine Max Wrightsville Beach is having a get together, first weekend in August at Bald Head. FYI

OK, How about we do it in Charleston June 28-30? A bunch of us South Carolina CSR boaters cruised north to Bald Head last year. Maybe the North Carolina CSR folks could boat south this year? If so, we now have almost everyone who's responded so far included. How does that sound?

Yes, we will be in a wet slip probably on E dock. This is our third year making the trip on the 280.

We may not get down to Charleston that week until the 29th or 30th as we plan to stay for the 4th of July week. We will certainly try to make it.

I'll be down some helping my buddy on A dock during that time.....I will walk over and say hi. Love that marina.

Last week of June and first week of July, I'll hopefully be in the Bahamas on my boat.....if the weather coorperates. I can't believe there is a named storm already this season so early!
