We are talking about the light in the head on a 2001 340 DA. I think I need to replace this light fixture. It works, well sort of, most of the time. It will work on one light all the time but if you put it on the two bulb setting, it does not work correctly. The two bulb setting will only work some times and for a short time. The bulb is in tact and not the problem, I suspect it has a short somewhere as it shows a bit of heat damage (a slight melting of the plastic) on the sliding switch. It was like that when we got the boat and it has driven me crazy ever since. I want this to be on my winter to-do-list.

Any one know where I can get a replacemnt fixture. I have done the usual google and site search, as well as scouring the usual suspects, like flounder pounder but have had no luck.

Any suggestions on where to get one, or info on an acceptable replacement part are welcomed.

Thanks,
Sammy

Usually for things like that - that you can't find anywhere the dealer is the best. Then install LED lights in the fixture to keep the heat down.

Totally agree on the LED's. Uses less power and as mention above, does not get hot.
