New Style Express Crusier 37' Sea Ray Venture Aft Cabin Twin Outboards

I was just on the Venture at the Ft Lauderdale Boat show. Sticker price $349,000. That was the boat show price. MSRP over $400k.

Some thoughts after spending some time onboard:
The arch (spoiler) on the 370 Venture is much lower than the arch in the current 370. It's also a lot smaller. Inside the v-berth seat/bed is nice when set up as a table and couch, but it makes a lousy bed. The cushions are all at different heights for some reason. There is a nice size bed aft, but its a bit awkward to get down to the bed and especially awkward to get to the seat on the starboard side past the bed.

Great looking boat, Just saw it in BOATING magazine, I was very suprised it had outboards, Pretty cool but damn expensive.

Anybody from the Homecoming or who has been on the boat remember seeing the galley that's in BOATING magazine? I don't. I got pictures we took that don't look like that.

Bill, if I'm looking at the same set of photos on their website as you, I assume you're talking about photo #26? I do recall that small galley being there at the homecoming. There was a downscaled galley with a micro, sink and fridge. The rest of the "galley area" was in the cockpit for entertaining.

Page 28, Shaun. I just don't remember that separate bar with the TV in it. Maybe it was there and my old age memory thing is working full time again.

Just got off it at Ft Lauderdale was not thrilled with it. Lot's of room in thr aft cabin not much in the bow. All cooking is up top, except for the micro wave is below.

I don't have the magazine in front of me so I looked at the article online. The online pics don't show a separate bar with tv, and I don't remember that either! Maybe they grabbed a wrong pic for the print edition and corrected the article online? Anyways, I don't remember that either so it's not just your memory if it was there!! :)

I just read the Boating magazine review and they thought highly of it. The fuel mileage isn't quite as high as I had expected it to be. I'm not convinced that I have seen the word "commodious" used before - the word was used to describe the master stateroom.

Just saw it at the Ft Lauderdale show. One word... "Ackward". I was surprised with the deck. Not really a comfortable sleeper compared to a +/-37 Sundancer. Great day cruiser for a couple.

37 feet thats 30 feet of boat and 7 feet of swim platform i did not see value or quality in the boat. 400 k OMG my wife and I are looking for a 41 dancer with diesels used of course I will save 200 k and go with an older better design

Similar thoughts. Just not worth the size and enovation. In short, not enough boat for the money and the convenience outboard's offer. It's not for me...

There are a few of us that find this a great step forward in matching our boating lifestyle. Large cockpit entertaining area with all the cooking stuff up there as well. Just need a place to sleep down below at night - not a place to live in. Outboards for salt water life. Perfect boat for my wife and I, but far, far beyond my purchasing means.

I think this boat is looking to bridge the gap between the current express style cruisers offered from Grady White, Boston Whaler, and Pursuit as well as many others. This price point isn't all that unheard of in the off shore fishing market. If you look at the larger express style outboard powered boats from the "fishing" companies they are trying to be more family friendly and still be able to fish. If you are looking to get out of fishing and stay with outboards this is a great boat if you want to maintain your needs of outboard power. I applaud Sea Ray for stepping out of the norm and trying something different. I hope it sells well for them.
