Yesterday we closed on One Sweet Day, a beautiful 2003 410, that belonged to the late Dom Annunziata (OSD9). She will be trucked to Chattanooga and her new home on the Tennessee River by next week. She should arrive at Island Cove Marina on the 30th, and hopefully be in the water after the 1st with a little bottom paint touch-up and a boot stripe replacement (darn bottom cleaning pressure washer).

While we are really excited about our new Searay, it was also a very sad day
, because if I had my wish, Dom would still be here enjoying One Sweet Day and helping me (along with the rest of you) find another boat.

I owe a lot of thanks to Turtletone, RonDDS, Frank W, Skip, Bobby Bacala, Impulse III, Alex F., Bugsy 24, (and others) who all helped this go through. Thanks guys, it meant a lot to Dom, Linda his widow, and Sue and me.

Out of respect for our friend Dom, we are not going to change the name, so Dom's "One Sweet Day" will live on. We hope he will enjoy our trips with us in spirit.

Oh - anybody know anyone that wants a clean, fresh water, 2005 340 DA? Have them dial BR549 - or send me a message!

Yea, I know - pictures...she's on blocks right now in Tom's River awaiting shipping. I'll get my sig picture updated as soon as I can.

Carter, first congrats to you both on a beautiful well maintained boat, Dom took real care and pride in her i think its a nice touch leaving the name on her transom out of respect, Dom is looking down and hoping you really enjoy her.

Carter...

Congrats on the new boat. You're a class act leaving the name as Dom named her. That's a nice remembrance for a great guy.

I hope you and Sue enjoy her for many years to come.

Carter,
That's a nice ending to a sad story. Thanks for sharing. Best of luck with her.

I am glad that she's going to stay "in the family" so to speak. I know you will enjoy her and love her like Dom did. We will all keep the memory of OSD9 going here.
Carter, Glad that I had the opportunity to meet you and the Mrs. in Knoxville and congrats on the new ride!

Carter,
It was great to meet you all last week. I know that you will enjoy her. Let me know if you need any help when she gets to Chattanooga. Since my boat is still out getting bottom paint I will need something to do..

I'm glad they are doing your bottom and boot stripes John - they will be "well practiced" to do mine!

Great to meet you as well last week at Island Cove.

Congrats on the new boat! Agree with keeping the name....very nice.

Did you get the CAT banner as well? You need to take a picture on the back of the boat with the banner in the background flipping me the bird.

Congratulations on buying Dom's boat! Dom was a class act and you keeping the boat name is a continuation of a story about class acts owning the same Sea Ray! Best of Luck continuing the story of enjoying life for all it has to give!

Congrats, Carter, Never met you, Dom, or the boat, but, in a way feel like I know you all. I know it's got to be a sweet boat, and she will love the Southern freshwater, and the covered slip at Island Cove. I was actually there many years ago, but that's another story.....anyway, please keep us informed; with pics. Again, congratulations! And enjoy the hell out of it.

Don

I, as well never had the privilege of meeting Dom. However, I am proud to share this forum with such stand up people. It was such a great tribute when you guys went to his home to detail his boat. And to keep his boat in the "family" and you keeping the boats name is a great tribute to Dom and his family. Thank you for sharing and a HUGE CONGRATS on your new baby!!

Carter,

Congrats on the purchase of a beautiful boat. As others said I'm also very glad that "One Sweet Day" will remain in the "CSR Family". I think it means a lot to those of us who knew Dom and Linda and the boat. I'm sure that Dom sends you his blessings.

Good luck and enjoy many years of the ownership.
