420/44 DB Owners Club

Alex,
i was rafted up with Greg "Lady Taz" over the weekend. I mention I would like to install some custom bow cushions that recline on our boat. He mentioned you have a nice setup on your 420DB. I know there's not a lot of room considering the grab rails and port hole. I Would greatly appreciate any inputs or thoughts you have regarding your set up.
Thanks, Marianne

Marianne,

I have custom made very comfortable sunpad. However, it's not reclining. There's a raised headrest, but it's not large enough. I'm also looking in to making some adjustments and redesign the pad to have backrest. It's a low priority item and I still don't have a good and permanent solution. For now, I was thinking that regular folding seat might do the trick.

Nice job on your sun pad. Right now, i just put up the 2 regular folding seats that recline. I really want the sun pad to recline, i'm gonna do a little research see what I can find out. I'll let you know. Happy 4th!

That's cute.

Ok, I give up. Where is the stereo amp located on a 2006 44 Sedan Bridge? Thanks in advance.

Have you checked behind the salon's port side sofabed?

You are correct. Whole center comes out and then air unit. Have you checked the drain to make sure water not backing up

I need to get just couple of oil filters and was looking on the web at known sources like http://truckhelp.com, RyderFleetProducts.com and others. They all carry filter for mains (mine is Fleetguard #: LF9009) but not for genny (Onan part #: 185-5835). I was told that they can crossmatch to Fleetguard filter LF3536.

Any reason I shouldn't go with Fleetguard version of the genny filter? As most of you know the Onan filters are from Kubota and if I recall are maid in Japan.

I converted to the Fleetguard filter for the genny two seasons ago. No problems that I can tell. BTW, I buy my oil and fuel filters through the local Cummins truck service center. They order them for me and have them in a day or two at significantly less than I could find anywhere online.

Thanks Brian, I just placed my order of all Fleetguard filters. As I did the last year I got the oil from WalMart at around $12 p/g.

Hi all,

Anyone with a 420/44DB use a Hurley Davit? If so, how's it working for you?

Thank you in advance for your generosity and strong opinions.

Welcome to the club, Michael. I would be interested to hear if anyone with our type or alike boats were able to make it work. The biggest issue I see is the height of our integrated platform. It looks like you need either longer over-sized ramps and/or some sort of adapter to have the ramps sit lower to the water.

Where the heck is our Fresh Water tank?

Can't find it? You're kidding.....

Did you check behind the stbd side exhaust?
