Cape May canal to C&D canal

Assuming you are talking from the Del River side of each canal......about 2 hours. On a bad day....in a 260DA...stay home.

In my 250 it took about 2 1/2 hours to the middle of the cannel (Chesapeake City). If the wind is against the current it gets real choppy. We stay out of the channel until just before the Nuke plant.

Thanks for your replay, any particular heading or points to look for or just go as the crow flies?

You can head directly from Cape May Canal for Miah Maull light (you'll have at least 10 Ft of depth) and then follow the channel pretty closely. Don't cut the corner to C&D jetty, lots of shoaling in that area. As others said, DE Bay an be nasty ride and there really is nowhere to hide. Time your trip for flooding tide and avoid any N or NW winds and you'll be fine.
