370 Aft Cabin speed?

Based on specs for your boat and mine you have a problem. I hit a log this spring and bent a prop. Had both rebuilt. It did not effect top speed but seemed to give me about 5% more speed at low RPM. You probably need a good tune up or have worn engines. As noted by others compression check is where to start. What is your estimated added weight for extra stuff in the boat. My boat at last haul out with 1/3 tank gas and 1/4 water was 15 Ton posted dry is 10 Ton by SeaRay. As I noted before I got top speed of 22 Knots before added things to the boat. If The engines ever die I will try to put ones with more HP. Until then I an stuck with 18 knots.

Northern, I'm not sure how much weight I've added to the boat but I don't think it would be much different then what other 370 AC owners have done. That's one of the reasons I've been asking about the speed on this site versus checking on sea rays numbers. The sea ray numbers are based on a completely empty boat but I was more interested in real world numbers. I'd still like to find the sea ray performance numbers for comparison. Right now I'm sitting on my aft deck with my i pad and a cup of coffee on a perfect Sunday morning so that part of the boat is working great! I'm sure eventually I'll get the rest of it figured out. Thanks for your help, Mark

........ This week I had the bottom cleaned and took a cruise to Cape May and now she runs 15 kts at 3700 rpm and WOT is 4600. .....

Mark:

By 'had the bottom cleaned' do you mean hauled and power washed or a diver dived down with a brush and scraper?

The former I'd trust 99.9%.....the later....unless I dived in afterwards to check.....not so much. Especially on a boat that sat all summer and was heavily fouled.

A power wash bottom and new paint get us 3 to 4 knots more speed.
Your hull dementions are similar to mine and engines are the same. You should at least get what I do.

Dom, hauled and power washed. Our marina does it for $3 per ft. Can't beat it.
