Just joined the sea ray family 290 Amberjack

I bought my first new/ used sea ray amberjack 290. 180 hrs 5.7s with bravo 3s. Never in salt water. I can't wait o get it on lake Ontario.

This my first twin-engine boat, AND my boat's name is Hook N Up ! Getting the artwork and graphic done for it right now !
Keep me posted on how it all goes.

The salt has played havoc on mine, and I am set for a riser replacement, BIII U-joint work on the port side, and have a gimp gimble bearing to port also. Prev. owner made a generous allowance, and the engines (189 hrs) and her topside are all tight (stored covered but in water.)

Projects include:

-Switching over to LEDs (done except navi lights)
-Backup topside battery system
-Way more bilge pumping power (adding 2 Rule 3000s)
-New anchor setup
-Standpipe to control water level in livewell (already made one myself)

Anyway, keep me posted and "tight lines" if and when you fish her !

only owned for a year but has been fun learning the ins and outs of the boat.
This site is a big help and great source of info. Boating version of SUV
 
Congrats best of luck!! Just took delivery of my '08 290 AJ on Monday. Awesome boats mine has v-drives what a difference coming from my single I/O Chris-Craft!! Bit overwhelmed trying to learn how to use everything but that's part of the fun. Enjoy the season!!
 
Nice to see some more Amberjacker's.

Question, does anyone have factory under swim plat form lighting? I have one burnt out, and am not sure what brand they are or even how to replace the bulb if possible....
 
I do have the under platform lights and the underwater lights in the transome. They look really cool. I have the manuals on the boat I'll check and get back to you.
 
Have purchased 2002 Amberjack with remanufactured 357s This is my second sea ray had a 95 370. Loved the 370. The Amberjack is a smaller boat with a bid boat ride. My amberjack has v drives can’t keep her planing unless rpm over 3500 rpms is this about right?
