Cleaning Windlass Foot Switch Covers

The windlass foot switch covers are getting covered in a black almost mildew like spots. Whats the best product to use to clean these off? Boat is stored outside so a bit surprised that it is happening.
 
Any issues with it tearing up the plastic? How long have you done it like that?
 
None! I clean it real good with the bleach and water, then rince with a lot of water. Been doing this way for at least 8 years.
 
I got tired of cleaning them,painted them and the Glomex with Krylon Fuson 2 years ago...problem solved
