310 Sundancer Thread (2007 & newer)

Anyone do a replacement for their TV's on an '07? My LG's have analog tuners and I would like to update. Seems better to replace that try and splice in a separate digital tuner box and prices are pretty cheap on LED flat screens. Just wondering what I will be getting myself into with the fit/finish in the main salon as the trim and vinyl are fitted to the LG.
Sea Ray replaced mine with a digital TV before I took delivery. It looks to be a simple swap... I don't remember the brand, but it looks to be a 15" or so. I believe you could replace it with anything that will fit between the wall and the doorway.

I changed my batteries to two 6 volt trogan L-16 and two group 29 the six volt are twice as tall and have plenty of amp hours. I also have pictures of full camper canvas on a 2007 310 if anyone wants to see them? They where photo shop install off off another sea ray. Still trying to figure out how to make the couch in the salon open up with a piano hinge and gas struts? I have pictures of that also.

Post them up!

We complete a camper back canvas for our 2008 310 in November. Soft Shell Custom Canvas (Jason Costello) from central Florida came up and worked on numerous boats over a two week period. Very happy!!! Will post some pictures when I can. It did change the look of the boat.......looks great! We did glass and privacy curtain. Others did glass and screen. Jason does great work, not sure he would travel that far? Good luck.

Yes, I replaced my flat screen analog tv (what was sea ray thinking?) with a 22" Vizio LED flat screen digital. I purchased a "VideoSecu" ultra thin mount bracket from Amazon for $12.99. The 22" Vizio width fits within the LG opening with about 1/4" to spare on both sides and about 2" top and 2" bottom. With the black painted background and the black television trim it all blends together in my opinion. I am happy with the results and now I don't have to deal with the converter box anymore plus 1/2 the weight. LED TV front compressed.JPG

Good Morning,

My name is Patrick and I am currently evaluating a 2011 310 Sundancer. I was wondering if anyone may be able to offer some advice on nailing down a good price for this particular boat. It’s a new boat (2011), and it’s fairly loaded. It has the Axius system, GPS/Chart Plotter, AC/Heat, Generator, plus many other options.

The main question I have is, does the NADA value I’m coming up with already assume the Axius system is present? I understand it’s about a 40K option. The nada web site does not have this option available for selection. Should I obtain nada’s value for the boat and then tack on 40K? I’m having difficulty nailing down a good number since the boat is so new.

Thanks and I hope to join the thread soon!
Patrick

I did the same with the 3 front panels! The zippers and the velcro are done!! The front frames are ripping and shot! I'm going to guess that the PO didn't shrink wrap the Boat over the Winter that he owned it !!!
Hey Bugsy, who did you use for your glass/canvas work? I'm in Brick so I'm looking for someone good/local/cheap.

Thanks!

Everything I try to clean the cabinets in the salon leaves them streaky, dull and ugly. I admit I'm not even sure if it is wood/lacquer or plastic, but it sure looks like plastic.

Any suggestions? I have the darker (cherry) finish if it matters.

Anyone with my power package have the factory macerator and can identify the approximate location of the sea-cock?

Not quite the same, 2008 350mags I/Os. On mine, open hatch, look slightly aft of the generator (which is port side).

Or, stand in bilge between engines, face bow. Look down to port and you'll see the engine seacock. Further left is macerator seacock.

Hi Glen,

Were you able to get any pictures posted of your new canvas? Extremely interested to see the look of the boat with complete canvas.

Thanks!

This is a trim question for all those with this boat and I/Os. I have a 2008, so we're talking the 33' 310, or the 33' 330 starting in 2010(?).

I've read many tips on trimming the drives for best cruise mileage. Most of them say trim the drives up until they just ventilate, then drop them back a notch.

I don't believe it. Setting cruise control so I have constant RPMs, my flow gauges tell me I'm getting the best mileage at a very small lift, about 3 degrees. I think the gauge is off and the drives are trimmed up a bit more than that, but the point is I get the best mileage while the drives are still nowhere near where they threaten to ventilate.

So, what do the rest of you experience with this boat?

Rich

I have a 2009 310 and am interested in seeing the full camper canvas when you get a chance!
