Looking for a freshwater 02-03 410 or 460 Sundancer...

...3126 Cat Diesels a must.
If anyone has one, or knows of someone thinking on selling ...we have cash in hand and are ready to buy.

A good friend mine has the boat you ar looking for. Very well maintained and he is looking for a 450 SB or 500 SDA I will get him in touch with you
 
You're gonna love your 410DA with the CATs.....happy shopping. Lots of pre-purchase information here.

Other than all the usual survery stuff, specific to the CAT powered 410DA, two things to look at....

-There are two engine hatches. One large electrically lifted on the port side and a narrower manually lifted hatch on the stbd side. On the underside outbound aft corners of each hatch, confirm that the rubber 'weather' stripping is installed under the hatches in a way that it contours with the drain lip. At two 45deg angles and not rounded. Also, you will need to install non-return valves between each drain in the corners of the drain lip and the thru hull fitting on either side of the hull. When coming on plane, or sometimes coming off plane, sea water will rush up the thru hull, thru the lip drain and seep on to the mechanicals below. More of an issue for salt water, but still an issue non the less.

- Speacking of electrically operated engine hatches....check closely the mounting bolts to the ram. It rubs up agaisnt one of the copper raw water lines of the stbd motor.

Good luck and ask any questions before they become issues....
 
The list just grew to include 460's ... 00-03 with hardtop, a must. Cockpit A/C with lift a huge plus.

That is a soft top boat with Cat engines. Its probably $50-65K too high @ its asking $.

A nice hardtop 460DA, thruster, hydraulic platform with 6CTA Cummins is worth about what they are asking for that one.
 
If you are in 460 price range as well you might as well look at 2004-2005 420's too. Are you looking for a trade situation with your current boat or looking to be a two boat owner?
 
Too bad that one in the Ozarks does not have Cherry wood.
Possible trade would be an 07 Formula 260.

Those are nice but smaller than my 410DA...

Dom, I have this same issue and was going to tear it apart and beef it up. Have you made adjustments to yours? If so I would LOVE pictures or a description.

I had the raw water copper line replaced by the CAT techinician when I purchased the boat. It was mm's away from breaking through the line. He re-positioned the bolt and nut that is holding the ram, added a washer or two and also put a sleeve of rubber hose over the copper hose to prevent any future chaffing. I'll look for a pic to post.
 
I just realized...I have a typo in my original post.....the bolt on the hatch's ram rubs up against the copper raw water line of the PORT motor....NOT the stbd.
 
Starboard when you are looking aft! I was thinking of removing the ram and taking out the entire bottom structure. It's nice and beefy until you get to the attachment where it's 2 pieces of sheet metal, bad design.

I have a 01 with 3126 cats could entertain offers in the 155 range. PM me. Its not fresh water but shows new with 750 hours.
