Just walked all over this boat. Essentially the 48DA but with improvements. I LOVE the new BIG windows on the hull sides. The interior is so light and open. You don't feel like you're in a cave at all.

Fortunately it's well past my pay grade so I don't need to worry about doing something stupid.

I hear if you could hook a solar panel up to it Obama will give you a few million towards it? :)

Beautiful boat!

I wonder what kind of glass is used in them big windows? I keep picturing rough conditions, flexing hull, burying the bow... they would make me nervous even though I'm sure they're designed for all that stuff.

Wow, can't wait to see one up close... pics are nice I'm sure the cabin feels open and light... have to agree with WOODY about materials used...

What's wrong with your boat? It's a beauty!

Looks like it is melting..... and like someone took a slice out of the side of the hull where that large window is. The clean lines of the 90's 50 Sundancer are gone forever. :-/ The new 45 looks a little better. I am surprised they are still messing with the droopy design. I thought they were getting away from that.

looks like thay took bayliner window and turned it upside down and put it in the side dont like it sorry

I do not like it at all. Looks like an old carver thing with that hull window thingy. Ugly IMHO. JC

I like it. And the windows are much nicer than what SR was doing here...:smt101

I like the window I own one with big windows much more light then my old 300da you don't feel like your in a cave imho

I just can’t understand why SR is following the euro-design trend… hard tops down to the windshields so no air through the cockpit in hot days, large side window that are not as resistant and flexible as the hull… can you imagine a fender pushing against them?
And I just wonder what are you supposed to see through them? Most of the time you will have another boat alongside… and sooner or later they will leak!

I love my boat. It's just I love this one more! :)

I agree with this for sure. The vent windows on the leading edge of the windshield are way too small.

I did go and bang on the windows with my fist just to see how sturdy they felt. Obviously this wasn't exactly a torture test for a sea going boat but it did feel very solid. I would have to imagine that Sea Ray is aware of the enviroments these boats will be taken into and they're engineered accordingling.

Whether you have a boat next to you or not, the light that comes into the cabin transforms it. I'd take my chances with all the possible negatives to have that kind of openness on an express boat.

When rafting up with one of these my anchor lines up nicely with that window... Just add a little wind and current and just think of all the ventilation that sea ray would have...

Don't get me wrong. I love the big window. In fact I LOVE this new Meridian with all the big windows. However, my OCD requires that windows be somewhat similiar in shape. :smt043I'm also the type that needs to have all pillows lined up facing the same way and all money in my wallet to be organized by denomination and facing the same way, etc, etc.... :smt100

I'm a strange guy and I like the "cave" effect of the express boats... for me it's a refugee from the sun and the heat, feeling cozy. I do not really need more light in my cabin, but I know, it's me :smt001
