Interesting Night

I hope it makes us all think and become better boaters......I know I think about how I boat and safety from this experience! I have my own set of rules on weather when I will and will not go out........

This thread has also made me thinking about checking my insurance policy...
 
I called mine on Monday (NBOA) and they were terrific in explaining "what if" that happened to me and "what if" the boat did not sink and needed to be pulled off and towed, etc...........How to calculate losses and what can be claimed, etc.......It was a great 15 minute conversation

Sorry for starting a new thread on Northeast Boating...just read inky mirror online tonight { Was away in N>C. Atlantic Beach for 5 days }and felt sick from pic of boat in salvege slings...i know that entrance very very well and have seen personally many boats on the jetty @ high tide..Glad all are well///all the Best Tom Smyth

Man those are some awful pics......All in all I'm glad he is ok and insured....
 
Gives me sick feeling in my gut just looking at those pics.... Is his settlement reasonable? I know you mentioned 310,000.
 
Just really makes you sit back and consider how easy that could be any one of us. The idea of calling my insurance broker is a good one...
