Need some help guys, today our 2008 340 8.1 port engine had 2 long beeps when the ignition was turned on at the panel. Same again after starting, same again when shut down. Smart Craft displayed "manifold absolute pressure sensor not working properly". The engine seemed to function properly ie idle and throttle response but we returned to the slip. Is this simlar to a CEL on a car? Anyone know if it's an easy DIY swap out?

Couldn't find much on google. Any advice is much appreciated, TIA, Mike

They use them on cars and they are referred to as MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensors. It's just a matter of removing and replacing it but check the electrical connections before you spend the money.
