Post Your Pictures of Irene

Hey Wetpaint, how did you make out in this storm. My sister is in Westport ma. She lost power for a short time but is OK.

Great......30 knot winds with gusts to 50 Knots.......No rain at all.......Some drizzle.......No Problem! I will post a video tomorrow

Jack...Just think of all the leaves you wont have in the pool next summer....Kidding...Glad no one got hurt......We have a few trees down in my neighborhood back in Boston too

I had some trees cut down and trimmed on Friday, they couldn't get to this one and were coming back this week to finish.

Any problems at Hyannis Marina?

A half submerged larger derelict boat decides to drift into my boat, ride under my hull while still in motion and crash into the dock I am at in Howard Beach.... my boat looks fine but I checked it in the bad weather from a distance due to the damage on the dock. Before I got there the police towed the derelict boat from under mine and laid her up on the other side of the canal. Today I will go check my boat out further and under a fine tooth and comb to confirm none or any damages but she is still a float so no matter what it could have been a lot worse.... Kiss my (_!_) Hurricane Irene... lol

Here is the boat when the storm was ending and after the other derelict boat was towed out from under mine... if you look you can see some of the wood around my boat that use to be part of the dock I am at... lol

Wow.......You were lucky......I wonder if he will have to pay the full seasonal rate for dock space now?

That's the worse part, if any damages are found I am on my own. No one knows who the boat belongs too or where it came from.

John

Nice pic's and video.

I apologize if this is posted in the wrong section. If so please advise me to the correct section. Tomorrow I will additionally post multiple pics of the damage sustained to my boat and to the rest of my yacht club from Irene. Would anyone know where I could get a port side "wing" window for a 1989 Searay Sundancer 268? The boat next to mine tore off its cleat and came lose into mine. Damage sustained is, cracked radar arch, shattered port side window "wing" & frame, cracked upper fiberglass frame behind radar arch. Port side interior panel/pocket has fallen off and last but not least the wood cabin entryway door has been snapped off its hinge. The boat is kept in East Rockaway inlet. Currently estimated at 8,000-10,000 worth of damage. Pics to follow. I have been told Searay no longer produces a port side "wing" window. If anyone knows someone who might sell used or new it wold really help. thank you-
