310 Sundancer Thread (2007 & newer)

Has anyone had to replace the door on the Isotherm pull out fridge? My hinges broke when my little ones pulled the tray out and the weight pushed the door down. Haven't looked into a replacement yet - just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

My refrigerator is fine, the problem is the cabin only has 8-9V when anything is turned on (even a light). So now I have to run down the bad connection / breaker.

But note those isotherm CR 36 drawers are VERY sensitive to low voltage, and just won't run when it is low. I'll bet a lot of those wimpy drawers just need the wiring / batteries cleaned up.

Yep, that was the problem. Low voltage in the cabin; look here for the problem and fix with pictures: http://clubsearay.com/showthread.php/45146-Low-cabin-DC-voltage. If your cabin CO detector blinks slow green and feeps every 30 seconds, that means low voltage; you might want to check out this thread.

Once fixed, my Isotherm CR 36 drawer frosted over in less than a minute. It works like it should now. Anyone else with a wimpy drawer may want to check out their cabin voltage too.

I am having the same issues with the remote start. I've recieved Err 62 as well as Err 50's and Err 100's. Sometimes it will start normally, some time it will crank for a second or so, then thow an Err 50. To clear the error, I'll have to reset the genny with the manual switch. Generator works fine from the "reset-start-auto switch on the generator. I also was unable to shut down the generator once from the panel, had to shut it down manually.

I was told from a very unreliable source this weekend, that several of his dock mates have the same issue and that a software patch was required. I have not confirmed this as of yet, but maybe it gives us a good place to start our troubleshooting. It seems that none of the "Err ##" codes are documentated so it very well could be a compatability issue with the remote start panel and the generators control panel.

Unfortunatly, I am not on the boat, but I intend to find the cables etc that run from the remote start to the generator and check connectivity etc. I also want to find the appropriate fuse and "reboot" that panel.

I am also having issues with my generator and Err 62. I was told 62 means lack of water supply to the generator. I cleaned the filter and opened the sea cock to see if water is coming through. I am getting a good supply of water but still receiving this error.

Anyone find anything on this?

Have a 2008 310 DA. Just found a couple of hidden compartments: Behind the forward cushion on the bed and behind the cushion on the starboard side. What else is there?

We did an over night down in Forked River. Watched the Lacey Lights Boat Parade. On the return home before we left the dock, we noticed a pooling of water in the rear cabin floor? Carpet in the back was soaked!! Will go back tomorrow with a shopvac. Now it really hasn't rained here much, but noticed a couple of weeks ago that water would drip in the sliding cabin door when it rained. Anyone have a problem like this or suggested Culpret?

I have the EC62 now... I am going to change my impeller this weekend and see if it fixes mine.

I have a Kohler 5ecd on my 320. I have found the following issue. The Sea Cock for the generator has an elbow with a 90 degree bend at the top. I have found that it gets clogged right there in the elbow very easily and I have to fish a coat hangar in there. Otherwise - I get the generator shutting down with the error code.

Just got back from Wally World and they have the Sump Pump and the Mid Cabin Bilge Pump and Float Switch at a Huge Discount! I suggest you guy's get some back ups cause they're only Guaranteed for three years and I've already replaced the Sump!!

Check your head sump in the floor. May be full and not pumping out.

Did this fix your problem? I just got the same EC62 and unit shut down.

Hoard,
I did! The hinge was cracked and it was replaced under warranty. The new one is the same design???

This is obscure. Does anyone know how the NMEA port on the chartplotter is normally wired? I have a 2008 310 Sundancer.

I'm thinking of adding a fluxgate compass so the rest of the radar functions will work right (like radar overlays and MARPA). This compass could do it at reasonable cost: http://www.google.com/products/cata...=xF3hTvD3C6Pn0QGMsMijDQ&sqi=2&ved=0CHEQ8wIwAA

It uses old NMEA (0183). So, depending on how things are hooked up already, I may need a multiplexor also, not just the compass. Or a NMEA 2000 converter and a bunch of connectors.

Anyone know, or do I wait 'till spring to take it apart?

I DID say it was an obscure question...

gndrvr,

We are new owners of a 2009 310 Sundancer and will take possession of it this spring. We are looking into replacing the slant back canvas and going to a full camper. Would you be able to post or email some pics of you canvas, specifically the stainless steel support rails and where they are positioned?

Thanks,

MIKA II

Unfortunately Sea Ray did not make a Camper Back for your year and model!! I went through this last year and research the Sh!t out of it. You can get a Canvas guy to make one for you but it won't be Cheap!! Great Lakes Canvas is the OEM for Sea Ray and since Sea Ray didn't offer the Camper as an option they won't make one. It supposedly has to do with Exhaust Backdraft while the Camper is up!

I may have one made for my 310 one day... I sure miss it.

Congratulations on the new boat! Welcome to CSR!

Thanks, I will post pictures of the new boat in April when we take possession. In the meantime,I will continue my search for camper tops.

Anyone do a replacement for their TV's on an '07? My LG's have analog tuners and I would like to update. Seems better to replace that try and splice in a separate digital tuner box and prices are pretty cheap on LED flat screens. Just wondering what I will be getting myself into with the fit/finish in the main salon as the trim and vinyl are fitted to the LG.
