I have a 2008 310 DA with Axius. I frequently have CO alarm problems in the cabin, with the door closed. I did suffer two exhaust gasket leaks since I bought the boat, and thought that might be the problem, but the problem persists. Anyone else have this issue? Once it went off while on plane, with the grandkids down below. They were very upset!

You might want to think about getting a digital CO detector and putting it in the cabin. Check and see if the digital readout is zero if the other one is going off. I have heard about faulty CO detectors and that being the main symptom. If the digital CO detector is showing levels of CO in the cabin when the other one is going off, you know you've got a place on the boat where CO is being pulled into the cabin. Might be a cheap way to find out which it is. Hope this helps.

I have had the same issue twice in my 08' 310. Traced it back to a weak battery. I had to pull the power supply from the CO unit to get it to shut off. I had my batteries discharge due to my lack of maintenance (forgot to check water in battery). Fully charged battery took care of the issue for me.

Keep your forward hatch open (weather and as permitting). This will keep positive air pressure in the cabin which can help minimize O2 issues.

I had the same issue as hoard. My battery was depleting due to a blown charger fuse and the first thing to complain was the CO detector.

This is definitely a battery issue. I had same problems with mine. Finally got Sea Ray to help with a couple of batteries. I actually got them myself and used the credit at the marina (did not trust them). Bought four 31 AGM's. No problem since then, only had them a couple of weeks. Marina personnel not very bright or helpful. Never was told about Mercuries White Glove Service or battery rebates. Good luck.

By the way, make sure that you set battery charger to charge AGM's. Also letter from Mercury says to make sure battery switches are off upon return and engine shut off. Not always possible as we live aboard many nights and need 12V lights.

I had a similar problem. Dealer replaced one faulty battery but still persisted. Had c/o detector replaced TWICE and the third one did the trick. May want to consider that....it is basically a step-by-step rule-out process.
Annoying as all h*ll....
