Bimini Trip June 22-26

Guys,

I'm having some mechanical issue that my change my plans. I had the props/shafts pulled, checked, and reinstalled. Now I have a wobble on the port prop shaft. The people I used have not been responsive. I want to get this fixed before I consider an off shore run. Anyone have a recommendation of a place to redo this work?

Thanks
Larry

Larry - do you need a prop shop or a mechanic to do the labor too?

RB

I have a great mechanic... he might be able to recommend a different prop shop than who you used.. let me know if you want his number.. I've sent him to a few CSR members and he's a stand up guy that does a very good job...

Hey Randy, Are you going to meet up w/the group out in the gulf-stream or beat us all into Big Game and have the first round of cocktails ready???

I'll be checked in, have my boat cleaned, my feet up on the table on the dock with cold Kalik beers on it, all by the time you guys get there.

Hi all

It looks like it will be the wife and I for Bimini. Still working on the genny, parts are on the way (supposedly).
Still trying to get both the bottom job and wax job done before the trip......not sure it will happen.

I'll be bringing bicycles as Bimini is very conducive to travel by bike.

Something I'd like to try to do is hire a local to take us to the "Healing Hole".

Ray

Ray - Great news about Kathy coming! Sarah and or Matt coming too? Get that damn genny fixed.

I've read about the healing Hole as well, sounds interesting so count us in on that excursion. I would also like to do some exploring in the bay toward the north end (where the Hole is). either bone fishing or just taking the dinks.

Randy

I don't think Sarah and Matt will be coming.

I've been sitting at the computer this evening trying to find a map or directions to the healing hole. I did find by looking at the satellite image what appears to be an inlet and a real nice beach on the NE side of the island.

From the looks of it this is definitely dinghy territory, anchor out and dinghy in. We might just have to check it out. If anyone can find info such as directions or GPS coordinates of the healing hole just let me know.

Ray

While we are getting the 65 foot lift in place for an all night install at Sawgrass Mills Mall, I'm enjoying reading all these posts. I can't bring my dingy as it's separating at the transom, so Adam and I might have to hitch a ride with you Ray....I could use some healing!

I found this web site about the healing hole - http://www.wilddolphins.com/healinghole.html

there is a map on the web site that indicates the Hole is not at the north end of the island, more like ENE of Big Game. I don't know if the company is still doing tours or not. The inlet/beach on the north side looks like a great place for a day trip, I think we should go there.

Goombay kick-Off Registration and Captains meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Harbor Lights Room, Bahia Mar Resort June 22nd. WhooHooo!!!:smt038
