Official (1990-1993) 270/290 DA thread

Here's another little project to pass the time while it freakin' rains.
We never have enough counter space for food etc. I bought a large bamboo cutting board. I made a cardboard template of my sink opening.I traced the template on to the cutting board and cut it at a 15 degree angle.
I have been sanding and re-fitting it for about an hour. Those more skilled in woodworking could probably get it to fit perfectly.

Now I definatly like that idea

Finally put her in the water today (60 degrees and a light rain falling). It ran a little rough with the new carb but did reach 4400 WOT, I suppose some fine tuning is in order. Here is a pic pulling out of the driveway, heading to the water!

I got my seats back this week from the upholstry shop $700 in labor for the 2 rear bench seats plus the back rest on the transom and the corner seat. More than I wanted to spend but I'm happy with the result. I will post some before and after pics. I have contracted with a hauler to move the boat to Lake Powell this coming weekend. More money, everything seems to come in $800 increments. Since March
New bellows $800
New seat covers $800
New amp and speakers $500 plus plus plus
Boat Haul $800
Misc parts

Oh well

Where is the freshwater pump at? I can't find it in the diagrams from SeaRay...

Sitting on the transom facing the front. The right side floor engine compartment. Mine is right below the water tank about a foot off the floor. 92 270 DA

My shower sump and freshwater pump are both located under mid-berth cushions.

I just received an insurance quote for my boat. Declared value $20,000 plus $6,000 for the trailer. I keep it on the trailer at home. $2312 annually, quite a jump from my 23.5 foot open bowrider. Would anyone mind telling me what they're paying?

Wow....I can get an exact figure when I get home tomorrow but I can tell you it is under $500 a year.

Seems very high to me. My 270 with $26k and $3k trailer was $490. MM

$345 per year. I have a trailer, but, keep the boat in a slip.

That will be the sump pump for the shower

No, my shower/AC sump is under the mid berth cushions (In the middle). My fresh water pump is under the mid berth cushions on the port side.

I was quoted $375 from State Farm....standard liabilities and $20,000 for the boat and $3000 for the trailer. It is 6month coverage with a layup for winter, Mike.

I went to the lake last weekend to find my starboard side bow hatch shattered.
I can only assume that one of the marina employees stepped on it when launching the boat?

I have called taylor, they want $1170.00 plus S&H
Overtons wants $569.99

that is for the hatch, trim ring, and screen. it is a square smoked color tinted glass with silver ring

does anyone know of a 270 Sundancer being parted out or a boat salvage yard that i can get only the hatch from? that would fit this 1990 270??

thanks
