Just got back from warm, sunny Florida to a freezing Baltimore and thought I would share some of the photos that I took of the new 450 Sedan Bridge that was unveiled down at the Expo.
The base boat was engineered as a complete Zeus Boat and you can tell. It runs like my 185 Sport boat, fast, agile and like it was on a set of rails. The base QSB 480 Zeus package was in the prototype. The numbers from the sea trial were:
15 people aboard!
Full Fuel
Cruise 31 MPH @ 3100 RPM 40 GPH
The product development folks think that if you drop the QSC 600 engines in the boat it will be a 34 MPH cruise and a 38 MPH max speed boat.
The boat has an optional platform lift, but to get the lift you have to spec the boat with the Cummins Quantum C-600 blocks.
Other options include the sunroof in the hardtop (you can order a complete hardtop with no sunroof). The island service station in the cockpit was an option. On the bridge there was a stainless steel drawer type fridge with a TV mounted above it. The interior of the boat was made from their new wood shop down the road from Sykes Creek. The wood working and wood flooring in the boat made the boat look first class. There was significant storage aboard as well.
Either way it was great to get down there and burn some diesel and see the new boat. I also included photos from the ride of other boats that were out on the water. Enjoy!
