Just got back from warm, sunny Florida to a freezing Baltimore and thought I would share some of the photos that I took of the new 450 Sedan Bridge that was unveiled down at the Expo.

The base boat was engineered as a complete Zeus Boat and you can tell. It runs like my 185 Sport boat, fast, agile and like it was on a set of rails. The base QSB 480 Zeus package was in the prototype. The numbers from the sea trial were:

15 people aboard!
Full Fuel
Cruise 31 MPH @ 3100 RPM 40 GPH

The product development folks think that if you drop the QSC 600 engines in the boat it will be a 34 MPH cruise and a 38 MPH max speed boat.

The boat has an optional platform lift, but to get the lift you have to spec the boat with the Cummins Quantum C-600 blocks.

Other options include the sunroof in the hardtop (you can order a complete hardtop with no sunroof). The island service station in the cockpit was an option. On the bridge there was a stainless steel drawer type fridge with a TV mounted above it. The interior of the boat was made from their new wood shop down the road from Sykes Creek. The wood working and wood flooring in the boat made the boat look first class. There was significant storage aboard as well.

Either way it was great to get down there and burn some diesel and see the new boat. I also included photos from the ride of other boats that were out on the water. Enjoy!

I don't like the angles!

I was sitting at a restaurant overlooking the marina at Bayside, downtown Miami last Thursday. Parked next to my table was a 450DB with hard top, hydraulic SP with center console dinghy, and many other nice upgrades. It was the same boat as the 420DB and the 44DB though, not the brand new one. It was beautiful

We were going to go - sorry we missed it but had another appointment. We are interested in a boat between the 390 and 450. Did you see anything like that there?

The 450 is one you have to see in the "flesh". It has very nice lines and very nice features.

It was a very fun weekend. Hats off to all the Sea Ray guys that stayed late each night to entertain us all.

Ps. I put deposit money on a 470.

Congrats on the 470! When do you take delivery?

Actually I will eat my words on the 45....Looks very nice....Only problem I have with Searay and their new boats are the price points. Congrats on the 47 Dancer! Did you buy brand new

That's a huge move to a 470, congrats!

I have the same initial reaction to this boat as I did with the mid 90's Carver 35' sedan. To me it looks like they set a 280/320/340 on top of a sedan. The bridge on this boat from the profile just seems awkward.

Congrats on the 470! When do you take delivery?

It's very early in the process. If all goes to plan, sometime in April/May.

After spending a lot of time in that boat last weekend- at the dock, at speed, and docking - I was totally convinced. The Zeus drive makes my (shaft/rudder) boat feel like a pig in the handling department. I was on it in the ICW twice, and every time we were out the word "sports car" was the common descriptor by anyone on board.

Congrats on the new boat. Are you in the video on Youtube?
