West Palm to Boca Raton

Looking to hear from those who live and boat anywhere from West Palm Beach / Palm Beach area to Boca Raton. I am considering relocating to somewhere in this area and am curious about:

- Boating (destinations along the coast and the bahamas, as well as slip fees where you keep your boat)

- Diving (do you scuba dive, where, types of dives and opinion on the quality of diving in your area)

- City where you live (good, bad, age group, real estate, crime and school systems)

- Weather, hurricanes, and other considerations to take into account

- Is this a good place to raise a family in your opinion and why or why not

my Dad lived in West Palm for many years. He was hit by a 76 year old woman while riding his bicycle and died from the injuries. Lots of old people in FL.

Taking my boat to FL Dec 23 for 10 days or so. Originally planned Ft Pierce as that is where we usually go to Abacos from since we come down from Charleston.

I decided this year to hang out in east coast before heading across and heard palm beach much better than ft pierce.

have stayed in ft lauderdale many times. just my wife and dog, got the Breakers lined up for Christmas brunch and thought why not just get the boat to PB and hang out there, surely better from hang out perspective anyway.

Just spent a week golfing from Vero down to Boynton and i could give extreme boring details on the golf, but don't know the marina/city view at all.

to me i think the best marina would bes omething in PB as in PB city marina?
