Hello all!

I'm looking to get back into boating and I'm considering a 185 sport or a 205 sport. I'm having a tough time deciding and I'm just curious what the best selling size is? Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

-Dave

From my understanding the 240 Sundeck was the best selling.

[FONT=arial, sans-serif]It takes nerve to replace a best-selling boat, especially in a very competitive market segment full of "me too" models. But that's how Sea Ray stays ahead of the rest. By continuing to improve and evolve, the brand is able to give customers the most progressive products in the marine industry.

As part of its ongoing mission to launch its deck boats to a new level, Sea Ray has introduced the 260 Sundeck, a waterborne "sport utility vehicle" that replaces the venerable 240 Sundeck. "The 240 was a star player for us for ten years," says Joe Cacopardo, director of marketing at Sea Ray. "The 260 takes all the hot features of the 240, cranks up the dial, and makes something even hotter."

Don't forget us 195's out there. There are several of us on this site and everyone loves their boat. All 3 have different features so try to get into all of them before you buy if you can. Good Luck

Thanks, for the replies. As for the Sundecks.....After looking at the price tags on a couple.....I was right back to looking at entry level runabouts! I've had the chance to try a 205 directly after testing a 185. I haven't seen any 195's around here. It seems they all stock 185 or 205.

I used to own a 21ft open bow and I liked the room, but the Sea Ray prices have me trying to decide if I can get away with smaller. Plus the extra speed that comes with the 185 has some appeal. I'd hate to get the 185 and wish I had more space..and a better ride tho...

YEP IMHO... The 240SD is one of the best, but I may be a little bit bias (Grin)

:) I based my respond on what SeaRay says not because the fact that I have one. I actually bought mine not knowing it was the best selling model SeaRay had.

I looked at the 220 first (first time boat buyer) and I went with the 240 becaue of the extra storage space.
