So, Thursday I leave the house around 6AM, work all day then head to an even to try and help small and minority businesses in the area. I get home around 10PM and my truck is gone, my front door has the window knocked out and is open with ALL of my stuff missing. The bastards loaded MY stuff into MY truck and drove off with it during the day.

Laptops, TV's, power tools, gardening tools......EVERYTHING!:smt021:smt021:smt021:smt021:smt021

If you read about the Bay Area man that went on a rampage (reference my hero Michael Douglas in the movie Falling Down) that will be me.

No good deed goes unpunished. Sorry to hear that Ken. Good luck with the damn insurance companies!

Damn, sorry to hear about that. That's the worst feeling you can have, when some stranger has taken your sense of security away. Violated is the right term.

Hope they catch the bastards.

Actually, I hope I catch the bastards first!

Wow, I am really sorry to hear your loss...hope they catch the bastards and hang them by the balls...

That is horrible! I can't imagine how you feel. What did your neighbors say? How did no one notice a couple of punks loading up all of your possessions and drive off?

I live in a very secluded area with only 2 houses on the hill. My driveway is 1,000' long and winds up the hill. The neighbor has not moved in yet but had a friend stop by to see if they were there while the crime was being committed! She had no clue so when she saw her friend wasn't there, she headed out thinking nothing of it.

That's how my wife and I felt after some kid broke into our house 17 years ago and stole some CDs and a camera and 2 of our 3 cats ran outside. If you find the guy(s) have them go for a swim and see if they can out run your 320. If not guess they would be criminal cerviche!

I am sorry to hear it. Yesterday, two thugs broke into a house about 15 miles from me. The resident let them have it with an automatic weapon......killed one of them.

My new heros! A buddy of mine lives on the river and he was hit last week too. They broke into his gun room, wine cellar and workshop and cleaned him out. The kicker is that he was upstairs sleeping! If he heard them (or set his alarm:smt021) he would have had lots of blood to clean up and bodies floating down the river.

Sorry to hear about the bad fortune. I hope they catch them. Being secluded like you are is calling out for a monitored alarm system along with a loud siren mounted outdoors.

Sorry that happened and I know exactly how you feel.

I had a secluded place in Ohio as well and my wife and I came home one day in the middle of winter to find my garage doors wide open, the back door kicked in, and the house ransacked. They never caught the bastages either or recovered anything they took. Not only that when I moved to South Carolina, my insurance company would only cover me if my policy had this huge deductible......all because of the Ohio robbery. That was like getting kicked in the teeth twice. :smt013

I think the hardest part to deal with in a situation like this is the fact that you go out and work hard all day and some SOB scumbag works your possesions over while your out earning an honest living. May the bas!ards burn in hell.

I had someone steal change out of my car, and go thru all of my compartments, and that was bad enough, I can't imagine what you are going through.

Unfortunately, I have seen how the system reacts. Usually the second violation is dealing with the police.

Update: Through my unusually amazing investigative abilities I may have figured out who did it! I just need to get his name and address and off I go! I had an air conditioner installed last June in preparation for my back surgery since I wasn't going to sweat and be miserable while recovering, and the contractor had a helper that drove a car similar to one seen at my house that day.

I am confident that the law enforcement in my County will do everything possible to recover my belongings and bring the bad guys to justice! (Is that better?)
