Official 330 Sundancer Thread

We don't connect to the water at the dock - we use the water tank on the boat. When it gets low we just add more water. I can be standing on the dock talking to people and when my husband uses the water you can hear the pump running very loudly.
We have an ice maker in the cockpit and you can hear it fill up when we are sleeping in the aft bed. Just wondering if that is normal.

If the tray in the ice maker is not full when we go to bed, we will turn the fresh water pump off at night. Hearing the water pump go "BRRRRRPPPPP" every forty-five minutes is not conducive to a good night's sleep.

Hoyamom - "Can" you use the water at the dock? If yes, then you won't need to fill your water tank, and you won't expend your water pump any more than you need to. In addition, the noise you are hearing will go away.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. My husband hooked up the water to the dock and no more noise!!! Now my neighbors can sleep through my dishwashing and toilet flushing. Thanks!!
btw - I am sitting on the boat right now and it is a beautiful night here - already to go out in the morning and anchor out and relax...

 WOW! That looks sweet! I may have to add that to my off-season project list for next year, right after I get my arch painted!!!:smt115

:smt038Great to hear. Enjoy!!!!

Splashed boat today, the new/modified trim tabs worked like a dream!! Held plane at a much lower speed, was able to keep the bow much lower at nearly idle speed, better visibiilty over the bow. Looks like for the same power setting as before (3100 rpm) I picked up about .7/.8 kts.. Very nice control...great day for a ride!!

Larry...I got the pictures in the forum. Looks great! My panels are at least as faded as your old ones were. My steering wheel is still outstanding for some reason, but I have to do the upgrade...next spring project for sure...

TD, why are you painting your arch? I have a bad spot in mine where the previous owner rubbed through pretty bad, and it doesn't exactly match the fiberglass hull anymore. None of the 95-99 330's with aluminum arches seem to match.

C o 2,
My arch has some bubbling up of the paint around the handles. It also has a large paint blister that is cracked right under the Glomex mount. That is why I want to remove the antenna , have the hole covered/filled and painted. Todd

TD, sounds like you are better off than I am. I'm not happy with the slight difference in color between the arch and the fiberglass and a burn mark, but you can't fix everything!! I'm on season five and I keep getting more ideas all the time!!

C o 2,
Ain't that the truth!!! I am starting season 2 with this boat and cant keep up with all the projects I want to do!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I am having a hell of a time getting the front bimini / side curtains all the way "hooked" up on my canvas...if I get the bottom rails in, I run out of material at the aft zippers..anyone have any ideas? Is it possible the top bimini has shrunk (2000 canvas) from Gt. Lakes canvas..

Seriously, It does sound like it shrank. You're saying that the bimini is set up and you can't get the eiseglass zippers to close. It seems to be the issue. Do you have a good canvas guy by you? Get a consult and see what he says. thats what I'd do. Good Luck! Todd

Ok all you 330 Dancer owners...I don't know if you remember the conversation about the windshield screw cover foam or not, but if you do and you still have the foam stuff, I can without reservation STRONGLY recommend, regardless of price, that you order the new vinyl stuff. I just put it in tonight and what a difference....no more gaps, dirt, foam particles etc. It installs very easy and looks great. (I'll take a photo when I can.)

I removed all my windshield screws and recaulked them with life caulk -I'd recommend it. Mine were almost all loose...

Again - don't delay, do it!!! Wish I would have done it 4 years ago!!

OK, let us know where you bought it and what you paid. I do need to replace my shrunken foam this year.
