Does anyone know where to check the water pressure sensor in a 2004 260 Sundancer? I get the water pressure alarm on the Smartcraft but the boat stays cool so I dont think it is really a pressure issue. How can I test it? Thanks

had the exact same problem last season. yard replaced sensor, not sure where it is, but if you search for other threads on this forum, I believe you'll find some pics...

good luck!

Never had this issue, so I'm afraid I can't help. Keep looking though.

I believe this is it... don't know how to test it other than replacing with known good one.

The part# is 881879010, and it lists for $107.50.

The range is 0-50 PSI.

Make sure they don't confuse it with the oil pressure sending switch, who's part # is 881879011, one digit different.
The list on it is $109.17, and the range is 0-100 PSI.

Don't ask me how I know this...:smt009

No.

Just disconnect the harness, and unscrew it.

A little teflon tape, screw in the new one, snug it up, and reconnect.

gee , those pictures give me nightmares!!!

FWIW, we had very similar problems to the ones described here, and replaced both sensors in our 300da - however, if you are getting a zero psi reading, then a reading then zero, then its simply contact point.

take off the plug, and inspect, we gave ours a serious hit with contact cleaner, and its never bothered again. in truth, we should replace the electrical plug when next service comes up (and will), but an intermittant on/off is possibly an electrical contact rather than sand/mud in the sensor (for salt water operators anyway)

;)
