Just got this delivered, can't wait to get it on the boat this summer. Seems like a perfect match for the summer heat. I got it on ebay brand new for about 25% off retail.

Looks good - you'll have to report back on how the battery lasts and the overall performance.

Outstanding!!!

Please report back with a performance report:

dph (drinks per hour)
sph (smiles per hour)

Cool, what time did you say the free drinks start(Grin)

Drinks are always free on Two Peas... just come up and find the only CSR burgee on the Canadian side of the river (so far).

Paperwork says this sucker will spin 60 12oz drinks per charge. Battery still charging for the first time so we won't know for awhile.

Extra battery is listed at $79. Ouch.

This thing seems as rugged as a football helmet. Very well built (of course I haven't powered it on yet). Feels like it is near commercial quality. I wonder where I'll find room for it on the damn boat though.

Had a bar quality commercial on the past boat - lasted me 7 years, so went the boat, so I retired the blender. Now looking for a new blender, cant wait to hear the results of the first margarita - let us know - I will go down to the new boat and reserve some space now just in case!

SlipperyWhenWet - that is quite a contraption. 4-stroke even - nice!

shinsr, I'll advise on the quality as soon as the tequila and triple sec are flowing!

Margaritaville machine is the BOMB!!!!

I have the corded version and it has hekp up well. In addition to margarita I especially like Mudslides.....I always carry the whipped cream and chocolate sysrup.

Nice looking machine !! I Had the corded version and gave away to a friend, he absolutely loves it. I am getting close to my money back now with all the free drinks he has given us.... I still use our Vita-Mix blender for everything now, just requires the generator while on hook is the only caveat. Cheers !!

Yes be sure to post full survey and sea trial report:grin:.

My attempt with a power inverter, 110vac blender, two bottles of rum, 1 bag of ice and all the juice a board 4 boats = 4 dead batteries and no juice for breakfast. what was I thinking?

Haha... What a headline...

"Carbon Monoxide from blender kills 4 people on a houseboat"

"Police arrived on scene Sunday morning and found the blender still idling below deck and the four victims slumped over at the galley table. They were apparently in the middle of a game of quarters at the time of their deaths. A contributing factor was that someone had removed the boat's built in CO detector and used the power connections for an icemaker..."

I finally got mine delivered today and I confirm the built quality and, yes, it's huge!!! ... battery is charging now...:smt001

One question for you as I'm no expert in frozen drinks:

The owner manual recipe has Margaritaville Mix in it, a lot of it and I cannot get it here ... but which recipe would you suggest for a simple straight frozen margarita???

My usual on the rocks recipe is:
1/2 oz lemon or lime juice
1 oz triple ses
1 1/2 oz tequila
ice??? (how much ice for a perfect creamy frozen one???)

We have the bigger Fiji one for the pool and I'm curious if she thinks this thing will find its way on the boat for our long weekends.

They are built like tanks.

I have noticed that I like to blend the ice a bit more than it does on its own.

As a rule of thumb I usually fill the intended drinking glass with ice cubes (to the top) then put in two more cubes for good measure. This usually puts me pretty close to the consistency I'm looking for. (So if I'm making enough for 6 drinks I fill the glass up 6X and then throw in another handfull) Remember: If it's to thick add more tequila.

Sorry guys with my boat named Moonraker I can only Margaritas shaken not stirred.:smt043

Pietro,
Use a whole fresh lime instead if you have them available and add a little granulated sugar to sweeten to taste.
