I saw these pictures in the 1962 SR brochure. Has anyone ever seen one of these? I wonder if one even still exists? What a Boat! The 1962 808 Cruis-a-Bout

if you go through the threads a guy bought one of those about 6 months ago or so in prestine condition, I am wanting to think it was twin outboards too!

I love it. It would be a great first boat for my kids.

Yup, I see one of these everyday! All I have to do is go out to my garage and there it is. Waiting patiently :smt013 for the icebergs to melt on the lakes up here. It's not happening quickly enough!:smt089 C'mon spring! Bob

I have one too. Colorwise it is the same as Bob's, but it needs a total restoration. The hull is in good shape though.

That is very very nice. I would like to find one to restore myself.

What a true beauty. Theres only one other thing on the water that will turn my head faster than a classic boat.

Rob

Geez, I wonder what that might be! Probably something else with classic curves!

Bob, that's just lovely...and look at that trailer:thumbsup:!!!

You just need a classic car to tug it along!!!

Pictures??????????? :smt021

I was thinking the same thing about a classic to pull it around. Maybe an older Ford pick-up painted the same color. Right now, I haul it to the lake with my Edge. I would love to take it to some boat shows this year. Maybe some shows in Michigan? I'm retired so I've got nothing but time (yeah, right). Have some difficulty getting it far enough in the water to have it float off with the high tires that are on the trailer. Maybe I should go to the low profile tires. I have to push it off. Getting too old for that!!!!!

No, don't change any thing about that time capsule!:wow:

Also some white-wall tires would look so sweet.

I wish I had a classic SeaRay to pull behind my 270 but I think it will end up using the 1957 Vanguard Rocket.
It's small, light and just right.

Sigh,,,,, I envy your 808:smt009,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Thanks everybody for the posts. I think it's quite unique and have lots of plans for the summer. I would really like to drag it down to "Jobbie Noooner" in June. Never been to it but have heard it's "the" party event of the summer on Lake St. Clair. Maybe I should forget about the idea of the low profile tires for the trailer and just keep it original. Enjoy what's left of winter (I won't). Bob
