Greetings to all.... we are new owners of a 2004 240DA based in SW Ohio. Very happy to have found this site... we're new to all this and anxious to learn. Any and all help is appreciated!

Have the same boat owned her since she was new. I do some of the service myself and even posted some how to docs on changing the oil and servicing the impeller. added a tv that mounted in cabin or cokpit, installed a VHF and Gramin plotter. feel free to contact me if you need advise.

Note : the trim tabs should always be raised up prior to going on plane otherwise the 240DA tends to weather helm real bad. only use the tabs to adjust port/starboard pitch while under way or to maintain plane at very low speeds. Since the 240DA is very short for her freeboard she is real touchy when it comes to useing the tabs. Once you get used to them you'll be fine.

the 240DA is a great boat. I've had her out in the gulf in stuff that made a captian of a 54 Sedan bridge turn tail and run and she still got me home in one piece.

Tom: thanks for the reply.... love your avatar! From what I am reading, it looks like the engine tilt controls the overall pitch of the boat and the tabs mainly control the leveling side-to-side... would that be correct?
