I'm new to this site, and I look forward to talking Sea Ray with fellow enthusiasts! Mine is a 75 with twin 165's. She's been in a process of restoration over the past three years. It's our full time tournament fishing boat & we logged 300 hours on her this season fishing lake Ontario. It had a flawless season this year short of a spun prop the first trip of the season. last year....well, we won't talk about last year except to say it broke a few times but it all got fixed:thumbsup:

Right now I'm in the process of putting a new fill hose on the gas tank. There won't be much that hasn't been replaced by the time next season starts. This year she got Sea Star hydraulic steering and a Raymarine st 6002 auto pilot....man, what an awesome upgrade !! How did I live without auto pilot??

I look forward to trading ideas and info. with fellow owners.
Here are a few pics from this past year.

Thanks!!

Not much...It's been a slow process and I really only took pics when I was done with each project....kinda dumb, I know!

I do have a pic of the interior before I purchased it, then one from last fall after a good bit of work had been done.

I like what you did! The small cabinet fits well with that interior. What's the idea behind the blue skirts on the sides?

Sure wish I had that finished floor. Would like snap in carpet!

Well, it's a fishing boat and I have a lot of fishing junk on board. I can shove some away on those shelves and it doesn't look messy like it would if they were open. They have been ther two seasons now and have held up well!

Actually, that cabinet has two batteries for electronics.....and more fishing junk! I set this boat up with the sole intention of it living out the rest of it's days trolling the great lakes salmon fishing. I'm sure many choices I made were not conventional, but I expect to be fishing out of this boat for many many years so I wanted it the way I wanted it. I'd never get a quarter of my money back that I spent on it so the way I see it we're stuck with each other....lol

The joys of owning a classic 'ray in a nutshell. Looks great!

I just bought a 1976 Sea Ray 26 footer with twin 140 Mercs. Looks just like yours but in much worse shape. I'm not actually sure of the model # or name. It's currently in FL and I'm stationed in AK. I'll be beginning a restoration project next June and would love to see more pics of your boat. Since I haven't acctually seen her in real life yet I'm really anxious to see what she could someday look like and to start planning the project. Any tips or suppliers you have would be greatly appreciated as this is my first "real" boat. Thanks and she looks great. Please reply to greasycummins06@gmail.com

ahoy, nice boat and yes form follows function and that is what matters...no need to make excuses we love what we do,fishing, diving, hunting we want to be on the water at any cost.. almost.

Not sure what pics you wanns see, but let me know and I'll see what I have. She's sitting here in the driveway.

Good luck....restoration is a lot of work....but well worth the effort IMHO. It's never ending....of that I am certain :smt001. My boat has a new port engine that just arrived sitting here awaiting spring. I'll be ordering a new SDE outdrive in the spring as well.
