The marriage advice I got from my father in law when he gave me his daughters hand in front of everyone was; "GOOD LUCK! HAhahahah"

I was also told: "you can be right or happy, it's your choice."

I figure if I am really nice to the boss and daughter, I'll get a really nice retirement home when it's time.
 
That really sucks, VT. Sorry to hear about it- you'd think that 4.5 years is an awful lot of time to "waste" on something that not's "real". Maybe it is... methinks you may be hearing from her again. You know the old saying..."you don't know what you've got..."

I think it says something that you'd share something so personal with your "family" here on the board. Always nice to vent :)

On a lighter note, we ski Whiteface every year- kind of our family tradition. You ever get over to LP?

I guess I find it helps me sort things out in my head to write about it. The original note by K-9 kind of hit a nerve for me at that moment I guess.

I've never been to Lake Placid believe it or not. I've skied Killington, Stowe, Bolton, Smuggs, Jay, and a few places out West. I should try it over there sometime. We almost went over there this fall leaf-peeping, but went to southern Vermont instead.

Actually, my head's cleared up considerably, and I'm in a much better place.

Yeah, there's only one of them that I'm the least attracted to, and she's already with someone. On top of that, that's what her ex did to her. Thanks, but I don't want to do that. Besides, I'm not ready for that yet.
