2 to 4 years ago it seemed everyone I talked to was interested in getting a larger boat.

Today some still talk this way however more talk about holding where they are, downsizing or exiting boating.

To make matters worse, I don’t know of any fresh blood (new boaters) this year. All the people we met have been boaters.

It’s possible my little corner of the world is skewed so I thought I’d ask.

OK, so here goes. It’s your money, you’re not getting a Obama hand out for the boat purchase nor for the upkeep. What’s your next move?

Although we are very happy with our current boat once I get a bit closer to retirement we are planning on a bigger boat. Hopefully something with a flybridge...

That sounds close to our plan as well, combined with a move to a longer boating season. More along the lines of small house large boat kind of thing.

Status-Quo for us....besides, I don't want to clean, wax and keep up any more than I have right now.

I would like a "real" mattress and a separate shower...but not a lot bigger than what we currently have.

I want a 340DA, but that will be after we put a few years on this baby.

I'd like to move to the 36DB or an older 400DB (1998 and up). The 36 really has my interest right now...should be an interesting boat-show season!

I am moving up this winter.

I think a mid 90's 290DA would fit the budget for me and give me the room that I need.

As soon as our house sells, Doing the smaller house bigger boat deal. Hopefully a 04'-06' 46 Dancer for us.

Went with next boat same size. Actually what I would really like is to just use the boat we have more than we do. 5 times to the lake this summer & that is one more time than last year.

We just bought the current boat but are in love with the 310's/340's. We put our name on the waiting list for the slips in our town marina that can hold a 310 or a 340 and have been told that we should expect to receive the slip in 10+ years! Plenty of time to enjoy the current boat and to save the money for the next one!

Hey do you carry your tender, or do you just tow it, have any pictures of the tender?

We tow it! It does great I honestly can't tell it's back there. I don't have any pictures of it with me but I might at home. The whaler page has some good pictures of it.

It's a BLAST!!! My son and I use it for snorkeling and fishing.

Ah! I wish my wife would understand your point of view. As it is, we want a bigger boat (late 90's 270DA), but I'm adding a complete second story to our house next spring. All that cash we have to do the job would sure be nice as a larger boat... :smt001

Moving to a bigger boat. 320da - 340da. We started boating 3 years ago. In that time frame we have had 3 friends get into boating. My wife and I just need to decide what both of us want in our new or used boat.

Presentation, I would love to get a larger boat! However, that means we can no longer trailer.... would have to be married to a marina.... etc. I really like the 330, but I can't justify the extra $$$ and arguably, our boat fits my family perfectly. (Me, wife, toy dog, 14 year-old, 18-year old away for college.) I can't seem to talk myself into a 330 or even a 310. : )

What are you thinking? Give us your opinion!

I voted for up-sizing, except there is no "we're," I probably will go to 50-56 foot possibly, and I will probably go with a bridge boat, but I do like the larger Sundancers and a few other boat manufactures Dancer style models, Navigaor is one.

I have one of these I have been thinking of towing (Boss Pro 10.4 (10 foot, 4 inches by 64 inch beam) 25 hp Yamaha), or else getting a smaller inflatable, air hull type and a smaller engine I could fit into the transom.
