We just put a deposit down on a 2005 420 DA. And so it begins... :)

Moving up? Heck, I think you're taking a giant leap! :smt001

Assuming we survive the financial proctology examination, we are there with you. Sweet boat!

Congrats on the new ride!!! Pictures...we need pictures!

Very true JediJD, the market is not being nice... Playing the financing game sucked...

I will set some pictures as soon as I can. We have to wait for the current owners to move out. It will give us time to digest the leap. (Am I nuts or what?)

WOO-HOO! :smt038 Welcome to the "Mov'n Up" group. This group needs it's own forum! Lets hope all of us have a smooth transition from our "mini-boats" to our maxi-boats."

I sense an uptick in dock protectors and boat fender sales in the coming weeks! :smt043

LOL. REALLY BIG FENDERS.

I really hope the transition goes smoothly. The admiral made a comment this morning about gradually unloading the "mini" over the next few trips.

Thanks for the well-wishes.

Nice move, congrads! Give us some details on the package. I have my eye on this model. So far I hear only positive things.

Good luck with her and wish she takes you places where you couldn't get in other boats.

Thanks Alex. It is a diesel boat with Cummins 480 CE's, 9KW diesel generator, Sea Ray NAV II / Raymarine C-120, autopilot, cockpit air, blue hull, DSS, Sirius radio, TV's and a great sound system.

Please use a Cummins mechanic to survey your engines. My surveyor (NOT CUMMINS) definitely missed some small items that would have been part of my deal. I recently had a captains breifing on my engine from my local cummins tech and he taught me alot about the engines and maintenance. Good stuff that you cant get from a generic engine surveyor. Good luck - you will love this boat.

Sitting in the airport, waiting to catch a flight to San Diego to take delivery of our 36 Sedan Bridge tonight - FINALLY! Congrats to the rest.

Thanks Rocket, that is very good to know. The deal fell through on the first boat as we felt it was overpriced. We have another deal in the works and hope to hear something later today. I will have to do a search for Cummins mechanic.

Congrats.

The offer was accepted on the boat in Annapolis. I am headed there on Friday for the survey and sea trial, etc. If all goes well and accepted, I will bring the vessel back to VA on the 11th.
 :smt038 :smt101

It's a great jump from 20somthing right into the 40something. You will be in a 50footer before you know it! Congrat's.

Well, it has been a process but we are now owners of the new (to us) boat. We ended up not taking the one in Annapolis, though it is in great shape. We ended up with a 2007 44DA out of FLA through MarineMax. We spent the weekend down there doing the paperwork, trials and training. Awesome vessel. I cannot say enough about the MarineMax salesman and staff.

The vessel has the QSC 500 diesels and dual E120's. I will update my signature once the vessel has arrived.

We hope to have the boat here (in VA) by early next week. (Patience is NOT one of my strong suits...)

As far as the 420 in Annapolis, it is worth checking out. PM me if you are interested.

Congratulations!!

Who was your salesman in Miami?

We are looking to move up as well from a 280 to a 380 diesel.

We worked with Marine Max, Ft. Myers. Our salesman is Bob Freeman. Definitely worth the trip.
