Hi,
I am in need of a fastener for the small bungee cord that holds the aft section of the fastback canvas down on my 2007 340DA. It is a small white knob that is inserted into the boat w/ a bolt. Do you know where I can get my hands on one of these (pic attached)? Thanks.

When I broke one of the pieces that fasten to the canvas, I called Great Lake Boat Tops, and ordered 10 of each piece, for spares.

They have a website, and are great to deal with.

10 of all pieces was something like $75, including delivery.

Hope that helps.

I am calling them today for the same parts. They are called Stay-Putz. The round, plastic piece with the large bungee loop is the actual Stay-Putz. The smaller bungee with the knob is called the "pull", and then there is the white post. Steve is correct, they are relatively inexpensive.

From what I understand, the "proper" way to remove the old ones is to hit them with a hammer (hopefully, while the canvas is sitting on the dock) to break them open. Installation of the new ones is basically the same, except that a rubber mallet (and a lighter touch) should be used to snap the 2 pieces together. Is this correct? If so, then ordering extras might be prudent.

Steve and Tbird...

Have you installed your parts yet? Mine are on the way, and I was hoping to get your input on tools required and installation tips. Do they install the way that I described in post #4? Did you encounter any problems while installing them?

Thank you,
Michael

The part I was missing was simply the knob that screws on to the boat. It is not the device that is attached to the canvas, which would be a more complicated fix.

I put them on a new aft canvas. Very simple used no tools. They just snapped together. This could vary. The thicker the canvas the harder you have to squeeze.

Mine are also in need of replacement. Anyone care to share how they removed the old ones from the canvas. Is a hammer the only way?
