Ok, after what seemed like the lending/loan process from he!! my new-to-me 290DA is finally arriving on Thursday 4/23.

I bought fellow board member's boat and its on the truck traveling from NJ to Ohio as we speak. Should be meeting the driver by noon for the splash.

Btw, anyone who needs a boat hauled give Phil at Boat Moves a call:

Sorry, if this type of referral is not permitted but I have no affiliation. I can only say they are a FANTASTIC group of people. Best price I could find, timely, extremely flexible and understanding of the delays as will be noted below and in constant contact.

So, if anyone is buying a boat that requires a premier mortgage make sure you use a bank that knows what they are doing. I was suppose to have check in hand last friday but because they couldn't get their act together. There was one delay after another resulting in it being necessary to wire the money today at the last moment so the loading could begin despite my hauler arriving yesterday. Every day it was another piece of information that was required that they forgot to ask for. It was insane and almost made me and the seller just say, forget it!

Admittedly, it caused a great strain on myself and the seller and made the whole purchasing process less than rewarding. BUT, that's all in the past and its time to enjoy the new boat. I'll post pictures of her arrival and splash.

Got my truck loaded up with everything I can think of needing this weekend and am heading out to my new slip in the morning!!:smt038

That's great to hear, Bob. Thanks for all of your efforts to make this happen. Enjoy the 340. I'm sure we'll keep up with each others new pride and joy. Ok, I'm so not going to sleep tonight!

Bill,

CONGRATS!!!!! You are going to love that boat. Drop me a note if you have any questions. All the Best!!!!

Bill,
Sounds good ! I'm putting in Saturday...I'll stop over and say hello.

Thanks, Nick. I'm pretty sure we now have wi-fi access so I may be firing away with some questions.

Quint, FYI they are actually putting me at c-24 for right now. I'll be at A-dock when they finish a couple repairs so they can re-locate a houseboat. I've got kids games in the morning on Saturday but will be back there that afternoon for the rest of the weekend. When we leave the marina we normally raft up in the cove area by the Mounds campground. So keep an eye out.

Sounds good....wi fi is up and working at the clubhouse, don't know if it will reach the docks.

Sweet congrats Bill. I can't wait to see pics. And I know what you mean about the financing. It took a bazillion calls to KeyBank to get my loan figured out, and finally approved. We found out before we got the "final" approval that we didn't need it....C

I called Key not too long ago to ask about rates and was told they don't do boat loans. Too bad it was the number that came up when I Googled Key and Boat Loans. Go figure.

EDITED: The new number works as of today, and the definitely do boats.

Still advertising their boat loans. Time for a website update ????

"When you’re looking for easy boat loans, you’ll not want to pass up Key Bank Boat Loans, whether you’re looking to get large boat loans, small boat loans, or fast boat loans. Likely, Key Bank’s specialized service representatives can help you. You may even qualify for a zero-down, zero closing cost option!"

I love mine and you'll love yours. It is the same boat, except that I have an inverter because I decided to do my part to save the planet. I wish you the best with your new boat.

Did you buy another Four Winns with the loan ?

Decided to keep what we have another season. We LOVE the 280 and 290, just not the 260DA. Maybe when Cincy upgrades again in a few years, we can get his 290 and his slip!

About 3 weeks ago. I called their 1-800 #. Took two days to get a conditional approval, and constant calling back. They said with the call volume they get they would never be able to call me back to tell me what else they needed, so just call back in an hour or two. Came back a bit high with the interest rate, but with no money down, what else would I expect? Since the sale of my boat fell through, we are going to keep what we have this year and pay down DEBT!

Hope all arrives well. I am sure I will be admiring your boat plenty this year as we spend a lot of time in that same cove by the Mounds and spend the whole day looking at potential next boats:grin: much to the chagrin of my wife!
