Speaker Size

In my old Velocity, I had an Alpine 50x4, with 2 6x9 Polk in front, & 6.5 Polk separates in stock holes at each end of rear bench, with tweets mounted up higher. It jammed. What I was planning on my 92 290 DA, I'm planning on an Alpine PDX-5 amp, 75x4 & 300x1 for the cockpit area. It has 4 6.5's now, 2 in sides, & 2 in the arch, with 10" sub in port side. I was going to "Y" the rear channel of amp to run the 4 cockpit speakers. I'm going to put a cheaper 2 channel amp out of front RCA's to cabin speakers, then I can fade from cabin to cockpit. I might put a switch inline of both amps, just to be sure I have them off as I need them. I have a Sony wired remote already in cockpit area, so I was going to go with another Sony (630 maybe). I was planning on buying 6.5 Polk MOMO's, as I saw them for $99 pair. I'm concerned now that they will be mod's to mount them, I thought it would be a direct replacement fit. They hole difference, is it that way on my boat? Will I have to make adapter plates? I plan on using XM radio in this setup. Any feedback? Also boat has a small tv antenna on top of arch, it sucks! I'm going to mount a 22" omnidirectal Winegard antenna on arch, hooking up to a 22" Vizio mounted on swinging arm above dinette table, so I can swing it both ways. I'm open to suggestions, (Polk db's in Velocity were a little brite, had to bump treble down one notch)

Maybe too late... but we put the Bose marine speakers with subwoofer in the arch of our 34 Sundancer.... awesome..... and my wife is very much into music!!!

The Heysers,
I was thinking about Bose speakers as well. Can you provide some details, which model did you install, do you have any pics?

Thanks.

Yeah, are there any updates on the JL? I would like to get 2 pairs of the M770 or M650.

From a sound standpoint, does anyone know how the JL MX650 ($179 pair) compare to the M650 $279 pair)?
