I hate to be that guy but this weekend makes me want to have a conversation with my marina’s office. As it is our fairway is tight. I can’t pull straight out of my 50’ slip without touching my neighbor across the fairway. I have to slowly angle out. Not complaining about that but the marina continues to put very large vessels at the T head that robs space from the entrance of the fairway. This weekend they added 2. I think that gap is less than a boat length. Had to thread the needle with 20knt winds out of the NE this weekend. The sportfish in the photo is on the N side of the fairway. I was very annoyed by this as I see it as just callous with no thought given to renters on our dock. Do I need to put my big boy pants on or do you see my point?

That's tight! Are those transients on the T? I think I would say something, at least so they are on notice. Maybe a 5' drive by to let one of those boats pucker a bit.

Yes, transients so it does varies but they clearly don't turn anyone away due to size.

Yeah, thats some BS. Consider that on a dark moonless night. The owners of the big boats ought to bitch as well...their the ones going to deal with the dinged gel coat.

Ive been dealing with boats too long for slips for 3 years which prompted me to get the end of pier slip. I have a nicely dented bow rail from when a big wind blew me into the bow pulpit of one.
Its not you. Most our slips were made in the 80’s when 25 to 27 boats were the norm. Now its mostly 32+. And they just don’t fit.

If you don’t feel comfortable….. say something. If you don’t get the answer you like …then you have a choice
