Guys any idea why is my safety fuel valve not getting any power? I was following the cable and it's going to the fuel pump and than keep going somewhere..any fuse or relay? Mercruiser 496 mag 2007, Sedan Bridge 360. Thank you.

Check on top of your tanks. That is where the sending unit is. Those connections run to your ECB and up to your dash. We had one that went out on us. Replaced it and only trick was going into the Vessel view under settings and having it find new device.

This one is just basic electronic valve which should open if you gonna turn on the ignition switch. Unfortunately I am not getting any power there. I thought there is some fuse or relay for that. Any idea?

It's a brand new solenoid but not getting any power after the ignition is on. Trying to figure out where is that cable (circuit) going..

Can you hear your high pressure fuel pump activate for a couple of seconds when you turn on the ignition?
The purpose of the shutoff is to stop fuel flow if the engine isn't running. I'd look around the circuit where the ECM drives the fuel pump. Fuses are involved, and should be located near the ECM. At least for my "more vintage" MPI engines.

Good point, I didn't check that. What I found so far is, wire for that valve is going to the fuel pump first, there is a connector and than disappeared somewhere near the ECM together with wire for a fuel pump.

Have you tried replacing the $15 fuel pump relay. Common failure.

as mentioned it is in parallel with the pump

Followup question, when did the engines run last? Did you do any work around the fuel pump?
I ask because the connectors noted above can easily be plugged together improperly.
There are two male and two female all two conductor.

The fuel pump was Mercruiser OEM plugged directly into the relay harness.
When used with an external valve the OEM harness is unplugged and the boat harness is plugged in line.
It is easy to plug the OEM harness back together and then accidentally the boat harness back to itself (which is just a loop).
If the pump operates, but not the valve check this.

Actually

Actually yes, I just replaced that pump and possibly switched those connectors, have to check that. Engine runs fine but the valve was bypassed.. thank you!

I was checking both these connectors and everything looks correct. If the ignition is ON pump is running for like a few seconds and stops. Unfortunately still nothing with the power for valve. Any idea which relay is it? Thank you.

If the connector is in the original OEM configuration the pump will run but the solenoid will not get power.
With meter or test light on the solenoid wires at the solenoid, the light or meter should show power while the pump is running.
Try switching the connectors

I was trying everything, switch the connectors, following the wire, checking relays and fuses..no luck..I just connected valve/solenoid to the working wire for the pump and it's enough to make both working, all what I need. I am really tired to challenging and fighting with something new every single month. Thank you so much for your time guys, Good luck!
