working on a 1984 270 and the starboard neutral button it broke. Anyone have experience with this, or has anyone upgraded the throttles on one.

Good afternoon. I have a 1988 270da. I an wondering, has anyone changed their bimini top so there is more head room above the drivers area? I need to do thus, but not sure what is all involved.

I dont have any answer for you but my 85 270 port neutral button is broke. ( won't push in). I'll keep an eye on this thread. Going to check it out this weekend

Good afternoon. We recently had a visitor to our 1988 270da. It seems a raccoon tried to spend the night on our boat. It was small based on the paw prints left everywhere. It got into the bathroom by climbing under the dash next to the glovebox. It pulled wires off some switches mostly the 2 different bilge switches and the dash light switches. Does anyone have a wiring diagram show witch wire run to which switch? Thanks

Dock mate had one and i was surprised by the ride and space it had. JC

Just bought 85 270DA with twin mercruiser 190 Inline 4's. Engines are running great but shifting is extremely tough after running for a bit. At first startup, shifting is fine getting out of slip. I also have a leak in the step down to the aft bunk. Where could this be coming from?

You may have a drain in the step. It has a hose to a thru hull to discharge overboard. Hose may be off the fitting or cracked, check from the aft cabin.

Former KC_Sundancer here. Still running our 270DA we decided to step up to a 340 Sedan Bridge this past summer.
I have been out of the forum for awhile, sorry about the photos. They were posted on a website that no longer exists. I will see what I can do to get them reposted here. Unfortunately they will most likely be a large group of photos and not tied to each post.
I will probably start a string for the 340 restoration work, fortunately nothing major needed this time.
