460 DA Owners Thread

I know there are a few other "60 lb ultra anchor" users here. Those of you who replaced your stock anchor with the ultra, do you swing a lot at anchor? Have you tried or considered trying the "ultra ring" that goes on the chain rode? Here's a video:
of it being demonstrated.

Mine are not aligned either. I was hoping someone would tell us. My guess is we will have to fix it at the engine but I haven’t tried.

btw. I also have the ultra. No I don’t have the ring and don’t really see how an anchor can control swing. We do use a bridle.

Because of the different lengths of the throttle cables and their different paths, they might align at idle for example, but not at cruise. It's not an issue of course when the synchronizer is used.

Has anyone installed a marine security alarm system?

I, too, use a bridle but this big chunk of metal (aka "ring") supposedly helps with your swing. LOL. I don't know... this is what I get for watching youtube videos.

I don't have an "alarm" system per se but I do have the eufy cam which doubles as a live video feed and can also sound an alarm too if all the parameters you set happen.

I use the sync but it also would be nice to have the throttles aligned.

The cables between the sync and the "throttle" can stretch and that can cause the control levers to be not aligned. I have had to replace mine and that always fixes this issue.

For those of you that have the front windshield vent that is driven by duel actuators.

The OEM part has a lead time of 150 days and is $400. Progressive automations has one that is $120. Part number PA-14-2-35

I want to convert my solid window to have that vent. I just need to fine the frame material to make the frame for the vent and then replace the center window with that setup. Do you happen to know where the frame can be had? I tried Taylor, they wanted a pert number.

You are fine as long as the screws aren't excessively long. Use maybe 3/4-1" screws to attach electronic modules and switching equipment. Note that if you want to run something to the main panel (or an autopilot sensor to the forward bilge under the salon) there is a conduit access in the upper dash area that leads down behind the cabin A/C unit. It's a bit of a trick to fish that the first time but run a second string for the future.

I used weldmount studs for everything so I didn’t have to drill. Very cool.

Hi all,
I am not at the boat and need to order the fuel filter for the Gen racore. I can't find my notes on it.

Do any of you know the size of the smaller one used for the gen?
