2023 slip rates

Ours went up $10/ft this year to $160. We get right of first refusal, but have to pay in full by end of January or else it goes to someone else.

This year I get hammered because I have a 35-foot slip and I went from a 34-foot LOA boat to a 21

But I keep the 10-footer behind it so it's a two-fer

Come down to PWM. We’re $150/foot for the slip and $20/foot for electric. Water and parking is free. We have a great swimming pool, laundry facilities, grills and restaurant/ bar on site.

Interesting that all the marinas are approximately priced the same....around $7K for a 40' slip.

I like the extras that you have.

My marina is $30/ft. But it's also a trailer park that we rent a spot for $2950/yr. Our docks also don't have electric. Just a few water spigots for washing bird poop off. Apparently going to be installing electric soon. I'm sure rates will go up.

I am $3400 for a 50’ slip… pool, bar, restaurant, beach, marine store, dinghy dock, indoor golf cart storage water and electric included…you do bump into your car once in a while….. but yet to damage the anchor :)@Jaybeaux is probably fancy.

i'm at 1740 per year if paid monthly for indoor 10% discount if paid in full and I can hook up to transient over the weekend no charge

5800 / year for a 40' covered slip in in a floating dock. Free water / metered electric

50’ slip (uncovered), free electric and water is $1,050 per month. If you think $12,600 for the year sounds bad, a 50’ identical slip in Newport Beach owned by the Irvine Co, will fetch $5,000 per month. o_O

Private marina on Lake Charlevoix in Northern Michigan $9K for a 60' floating dock May 15th - Oct 15th. Includes power, water, parking etc. Realistically you get 3 months of boating up here. Inside heated storage roughly $8/square', plus hourly charge for haul out and spring launch. There are waiting lists for both slips and heated storage here.

So glad I am in a half empty marina that never recovered from the 2008-09 depression. Still most expensive in the area, but the empty slips keep them "honest." They have also invested in a nice pool, brought in a local brewery, and have live music most week ends. $3750 for a 40 ft with electric and cable.

Yes, Steve but the service/storage part is getting pretty outrageous.

That it is. They think they are lawyers. :) But have you checked around? Would you save anything running it north or south vs the time and fuel?

Well at $185/hour for labor it's got me looking pretty hard...

We are at the beginning of our first full season so I don't have history to compare to.
Rock Hall MD has close to a dozen marinas with widely varying sizes and accommodations. We opted to keep ours at the same marina it was in when we bought it (from the yard manager). Annual contract is $4000, winter haul out service was another $770. Electric, parking and Wifi are included.
Prior to purchase we looked at a number of the local marinas, and found the rates were pretty similar, but within a marina they can vary quite a bit. One example is 2500 - 4000 for the same size slip, but the 2500 is buried deep in the back. We can be in the Chester River in 10 min, that 2500 spot is closer to the river, but pbly 10 min just to navigate out of their inlet (they have full bay exposure). If it wasn't for a shallow bar that 10 minutes for us could be the open Chesapeake. It adds another 10 min. Beautiful western view from the back deck, yet fully protected from the bay.

I hired a lawyer for my business the other day at $650/hr and a phuckn $5k retainer…I told the character he better be fast….…after that …. my math says the boat is basically free

I think most slip fees as high as they are is pure greed against the boaters. To me it can make or break many that love the lifestyle and forces them to think about what's next before I can't afford to have this type of fun!

His marina is a nice place, I've considered staying there, floaters as well.

He'll probably just be an additional $350 of useless. :) (I was there in a prior life)
We’ll see ….so far he is onto something the other lawyer didn’t even see….. for sure I can’t do it….. so what do you do
