My front starboard windshield was destroyed when a sailboat fell over on it while on the hard. Any recommendation on locating a replacement? Thanks!

Crap, that sucks. Best place is Flounder Pounder, if they have one. Otherwise, maybe a polycarbonate one formed and cut. The yard is going to be paying a lot to you. Just don't let them scrap it or write it off.

Also there are quite a few companies that make custom windshields for cars. As that is not a compound curve, it shouldn't be too difficult to make.

God damn….. it’s very hard to custom make…. The hardest part is the color.

Doesn't matter, the OP was not a real person. 30 hours of responses and nothing from him.

Here Here! Can get flat glass replaced in a day. While y’all curved glassers still be hunting a year later or using badly matched plexiglass.
Worst idea boat manufacturers ever came up with. Fancy curved glass with absolutely no replacement inventory.

I have talked to a few places around the Portland area that can do tempered curved glass. One guy that I used many of times, in furniture repair, said it was easy to do. But he needs the frame there to do it. In the case of a boat, he wants the whole boat there.

Just the Glass. Frame is near perfect condition.
Considering your location, Ocean Dynamics would be your best bet.

One thing I learned from the engineers at TaylorMade (marina ripped my windshield off the boat and it took almost a year to get one remade and installed), the glass determines the shape of the frame. They make the glass first and adjust the tooling for the frame to match the glass. No two curved windshields are the same and every installation is custom.

Good info...thanks!
