So, lets talk weather....

Shoveled this morning. More for something to do than really necessary.

I'm not ready for snow yet. Plow isn't on the truck, snow shovels aren't leaning against the wall where they should be. My 99yo aunt passed away, been tied up moving her stuff, my box trailer and pickup are full, looking for places to give it to, snowy 20-30 degree days are not fun for moving stuff or funerals.

Last week I was in the woods sweating in a tee shirt wishing for cooler temps. This week I can’t get to the woods. They closed all the roads. Can’t win. That sucks.

You want weather it's spelled Ohio. This time of the year is a crap shoot what your going to get. If the weather man told me tomorrow it was going to be 70 and sunny with a chance of snow it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Snowing about 4” per hour.
We had 7’ of snow fall in 3 days in Nov. 2014, they say this will be done by Sunday morning so we’ll see. Hopefully not a new record. We’re SE of Buffalo, right in the middle of the lake effect bands.

That's crazy. We are on a snow belt up here as well. Our record was broken in 2015 with 4' of snow in 4 hrs. It's been kind to us since but ya just know another is coming one of these days.
 
That lake effect snow at the east end of the Great Lakes is crazy. Our main home is near Toronto, but Toronto is between the two "snow belts" and is at the west end of Lake Ontario. So we don't get much snow compared to other places. Nothing on the ground at home today at all. Grass is still green, although with temps going below freezing at night, that won't last too much longer.
 
I never minded winter. Probably because I spent most my time in a freezing cold hockey rink. We’d go out to warm up.

I’m in Florida now. I miss the seasonal changes. You know, bitching about the cold and snow during winter, then bitching about the heat in summer. Miss that b
 
Snow stopped! For now at least. The snow bands moved north.
It’s beautiful when nothing has been disturbed. Our plow contractor for the association had to give up yesterday when they ran out of room to push the snow to and got all their trucks stuck.
The town came down with a front end loader to open up the main streets of the association a little in case emergency vehicles need to get through. My wife and I shoveled the walkway to the front door for an elderly neighbor couple. The snow contractors usually do that but they are awol until they can get bigger equipment. They say our town has set a new New York State record for 24 hr snowfall at 77”.
I’m not sure about that, but there’s enough!
