Once the Holidays are over pre boating season starts. Buffing polishing, bottom paint . Oddly enough this gets me through the winter months. Weather permitting we like to be back in the water second week of April. One of the reasons we pay the extra money for heated storage.

Where are you in heated?
Last year I left all my spring cleaning and waxing too late.... This year Feb March for sure

We also launch or try to same week. Weather usually breaks enough by April 1 to paint and get ready to launch. it’s getting weird, last fall I had everything bottom painted and outdrive all painted and done, mid November. This year it got to cold too fast so will have to wait till spring.
Just talked to my mechanics today how glad I am we pulled last week of September this year. It killed me cause I missed all the nice fall boating, turned out we reall didn’t have any. All winterize and done 2 weeks ago. It’s brutal out today and I am seeing a lot of boats around here on FB begging for a mechanic to pull and winterize. My mechanic said his phone won’t stop wringing. Weather took a shat early this year. I timed it right.

With the crappy weather we are having here in Chicago area, I am almost inclined to take some beer up to the boat and just sit on the back cranking some tunes. This sux. :)

A good 6" of snow today in Cheboygan and it continues to fall. I've already been plugging away at the hull cleanup, but I'm probably done for the most part other than a little cleaning on the foredeck until maybe April. We don't launch up here until May/June.

Dude it just got cold. I was in the NW burbs 2 weeks ago and it was beautiful. Winter came late this year.

This is the first year I've visited my boat before January 1 to start on winter projects. I've been out twice already, heading out again tomorrow. I'm hoping to be done waxing by January so I can start on interior stuff for the rest of winter.

No wax yet...but the sides are ready for it.

I was done with the sides in October. I'm going to work on the deck sometime soon. I want to get some sort of ceramic coating on. I tried 303 graphine and it doesn't work on the non-skid. So I need to find something to clean the edges that it got on and then go with something clear. I did the graphene on the hull sides.

I was all excited about the graphine….. that was a let down. It was awful on the non skid….and virtually did nothing on the blue after a summer…. No more wonder products
