The Official 450 Express Bridge Owners Club

Tachs show 1700 and 2100 hrs. Listing says 2100 hrs. No dinghy, no cockpit cover. $210k might be lofty but like that price for a 1999 relative to my boat.

I bet the market is extra inflated right now in Florida as insurance is paying out on wrecked boats and folks willing to get another boat have cash to buy.

For some reason, I stop getting email notices so I drop off when that happens.

Some great pics from this weekend. Probably our last 85 degree day this year. Noriego Point in Destin Harbor offers a unique beach that has a steep drop off. In that image we still have about a foot below the running gear.

Love being able to anchor that way where deep enough. I have to watch the tide tho!

You can send them back to https://www.seatechmarineproducts.com/seastar-hydraulic-boat-outboard-steering-cylinder-rebuild.html for a rebuild. It isn't to hard to get out. One end is attached to the tie rod and the other is fixed to the stringer. Just undo those and the fluid lines. The bummer is you have to wiggle under the generator.

I have an annoying slow leak and plan to have it rebuilt in January. The above company is honest. Sent a helm pump off my son's boat and they said it couldn't be rebuilt and they didn't even charge him the inspection fee.
I will look into them. I suppose it couldn't hurt to have a spare one.....

What a spot!

Forrest, RE removing the cylinder, how did you get the mounting screws out on the back/strb end of the cylinder? i can see the screw heads, but they are right under the generator support. No room for a screwdriver, and I imagine they will be difficult to remove being so close to the bilge?

I did it in Feb, will have to go look at the boat tomorrow to remind myself.

Ok, ran down to the boat between meetings (excuse my messy steering area, annoying slow leak and a tie bar that is flaking a bit). As I remembered, it is tight. One screw is a completely blind piece of work (inboard aft). The inboard forward screw can be reached from under the generator (I have to do a better job on that one). The outboard nuts can be reached by leaning on the cable tub for the cable master, just to the right of the galvanic isolator and below the trim tab actuator. That inboard after screw is just in a terrible spot, but with some work you can get there. Not much room for two folks in there. You could pull the generator battery and the cable master tub and it would probably make it alot easier.

The two that did my steering ram replace opted not to remove the cable drum or genset battery but apparently had a really tough time. I wasn't present, not sure how they placed themselves, a job for midgets.

My bet is the helper was a 'tool getter' so once the mechanic is crunched into the space you don't have to get back out. I use my 10 year for that :).

My guess as well. Good training for a kid!

Thanks Kevin! I ran a USCG search and "Runaway" is not listed in the system for a 45' Sea Ray (lots of other boats). It must be licensed in Florida. I sent the owner a PM on Facebook. Hopefully he will respond.
The sun shade is huge!

His ad was odd about how he is still upgrading so he may raise the price so he can get a bigger boat o_O.

Yeah, big ole shade over the cockpit.

Low price for some unknown reason, right?

No eisenglass, looks like it is a live-aboard, no outdoor flooring, weird captains seat, maybe that hydraulic swim platform is stuck just off of being all the way up?

Also, no broker. They always jack the price up knowing they are going to have to give up some on the negotiation/survey.

No dinghy either. Maybe engine hrs are high too.
