And he notified NARA that they were personal when they repeatedly asked for the documents? One would think that would be in a paper trail between NARA and FPOTUS that could have easily put this to bed like 16 months ago, wouldn’t you?? Why wouldnt this lawyers simply share that communication?

Without FPOTUS notifying NARA of the new designation, of course they would assume those documents to still be official presidential records, unless and until disabused of that notion by the only person who holds the power and authority to designate the documents as such, as you have instructed me so clearly.

I guess my point is, NARA can’t read his mind, he would have to notify them somehow as to the designation of those documents as personal. Surely that notification must exist, right?

Further, wouldn’t logic dictate that if he has notified NARA of the personal designation of said documents that the GJ would never have needed to issue a subpoena???
