Having trouble understanding current events

Read the fucking thing. You are wrong about custody. Or are you saying it doesn’t matter that there is a law, he can do it anyway??

The specific line is that legal custody immediately transfers to NARA at the end of his term. Immediately.

The law is pretty much unenforceable against the former President and likely is unconstitutional as well. It does apply to the government employees of the administration and they can be pursued.

Against the former President this is third world banana republic bullshit you are all happy about…

You said the magic word…former president. He is a common citizen just like you or me. Are you saying he is above the law?

That said, I do doubt they indict unless they do find out he had classified material that was damaging to our national defense.

“He needed a way to establish policies expressing his constitutional authority to his government.”

That is a great explanation of an EO. An expression to his government. It is not binding on other presidents.
An Executive Order has the force of law. They are binding on the executive branch until revoked by a sitting president. I suppose a sitting president could decide to disagree with a previous president's order but unless that notion is acted on by a revocation or amendment, how would anyone know that conditions had changed?

The burden is on you to prove you right. Trump has probably lost billions in actual earnings, future earnings, and reputation by becoming President. Provide any evidence that he had a net benefit from being President. Provide evidence of any Trump policy that actually hurt the USA in a material way. Most of it is semantics and elitist bs.
Also he never took a salary…. Donated it…. The guy was so evil…. Wonder if Biden is taking a salary …. Or do we really need to ask

Now apply your argument to Hillary who by keeping such material on a private unsecured computer put said info at much greater risk.
I believe Secretary Clinton should have been prosecuted as well. That said, we don't know enough to conclude that what she did was more damaging. The classified information in the emails consisted of various statements made in messages that were determined later to be classified. President Trump's cache of documents appears to be clearly marked source documents that may contain explicit reference to classified facts as well as identification of sources and methods. Every paragraph in a classified document is marked with the classification of that specific information so there's no question as to what one is looking at. The fear is that the documents exposed to bad actors who may have copied the contents or even taken some of them (there's reporting that there are still documents not accounted for). The ongoing damage assessment will go a long way towards clearing up exactly what the damage was (or potentially might be).

Biden is drawing SS also, but hey...it helps him keep food on the table and roof over his head. That's what it's for, we treat our old folks right.

So more "bad actors" than those that could infiltrate a private server. As your buddy would say "come on man." Trumps docs had a chain of custody -- whoever packed them, the movers, and then whoever put them in the storage room. How many nefarious actors got thru secret service security to get access to that room? I'll say it again, come on man.

So, the movers and janitors have TS-SCI clearance? I haven't seen evidence of a proper chain of custody, if there was one how did the sworn statement that all classified materials were accounted for come about?
How about the Chinese females caught on the premise in 2019?
Then there's this beauty:

Passed herself as a "Rothschild" but is actually a Russian-speaking Ukrainian. With her fake ID she managed to access the facility several times including the above golf outing.
C'mon Man yourself.

Point is they know who did the move and can check them out.

Got any pics of the visitors in the room, going thru docs? If you think Hillary's computer was more secure than an room in the private residence at Trumps house, you're delusional.

Hillary used protection for her server at home.
