Mine is not functioning properly. keeps beeping and The lcd display has missing segments.
Don't like to be out in any body of water and not know how deep it is.
I believe my transducer is fine. Just need the control at the helm.
If anyone has one that functioning well, please let me know.

They have been discontinued for years. You probably won’t find one used or new. You should get a chart plotter with depth sounder. Radioworld in north Toronto is a great source.

If I had something, I found functional, to fill the hole, I would sell you mine.
My transducer is flakey and I have yet to be able to find it.

No info out there on my boat at all. Not even an owners manual.

Let me kick it around a bit.

Ok great. Keep me posted please.
With regards to info about your boat, have you tried sea rays website? You can find the owners manual and parts manual on there easily.

Have tried everywhere. The Sea Ray site, different forums, legit manual download sites and even less than dubious boot leg sites. Nada - Zip. Sea Ray only has 2 large cruisers listed for that year. Odd. Kinda like they lost all the 220 OV Sig Select and '95 manuals or something.

Only thing I have found on the net is a lousy scan of the parts manuals. Doesn't show location of xducer

Please enlighten me some more.
Biggest gripe is having to run new transducer.
Does a chartplotter need a transducer to work effectively as a depth finder?

Running a new transducer is pretty simple and there are ones you can glue down to the hull inside the boat rather than drill holes. A small chartplotter with transducer will help you avoid issues when you are driving as well as tell you the depth.

The Lowrance 3500 on my 270 has finally failed too. The problem is nothing else uses that frequency of transducer as it’s completely obsolete. For now I leave it as it sits because I don’t want an empty hole in the dash. I hate the fact that it’s non-functional but it is what it is. I bought a Garmin Echomap UHD-74sv. This thing is great. It comes with a transom mounted transducer but if you use clear silicon adhesive, I used the clear liquid nails adhesive, and glue it down to the bottom of the bilge near where the 3500’s transducer mounts it will read straight through the hull and work as both a fish finder and a depth finder very accurately. It’s also a great chart plotter and will sync and update with the app on your smartphone super easy. Lastly it offers the features to plug into the backbone systems and give you digital gauge readings too. I bought a Noland RS11 device and it converts all the old analog gauges into digital signals for it to work right for me. It was a bit tedious and daunting to set up but now that it’s setup it really is quite nice.

If you don’t want all that. This device will fit in the same hole as the 3500 on the dash and you can mount the new transducer in the bilge near the old transducer using the silicone glue method too.
