Do you guys have any suggestions for attending FLIBS as a newbie? Wife and I were thinking about driving to florida for it this year, but it looks so overwhelming.

Also which one is better to go to FLIBS or MIBS?

When going to FLIBs, we always stay at the Hilton by the bridge. Can walk down and catch a water taxi to and from the show.

Great boat viewing on the ICW and the Inlet - book a room in the tower with water view. Hotel is nothing to write home about - but extremely convenient.

FLIBS definitely easier that Miami. Yes hotels around the area make it easy to get to the show and then the buses actually move people around the venues easily vs Miami traffic. Plus you can use the water taxi also. I tell first timers plan at least 2 days to do the show if you want to see it all 3 if you like to take your time.

I can spend a full day in the exhibit hall. 2-3 days is pretty much on target.

MIBS in like 5 different locations. All a PITA to get to. Do FLIBS. Do it right and spend at least 2 days there. And hit Coconuts for dinner. Scoobies app, and jambalaya or paella dinner. O. M. G.

I have attended both flibs / mibs for 30 plus years
Flibs is a mega yacht show, glamor with fewer and fewer manufacturers attending

mibs has more factories more info for boaters
Back on the beach at Miami is great
Two basic locations now

FLIBS last year was much smaller due to lack of inventory. Manufactures had limited new models on display and as you can see from yachtworld very limited brokerage inventory to look at.
