210 signature stops running after 2 minutes

350 Mercuiser 250 HP Alpha 1

I have a 1999 210 signature 350 250 hp. It starts right up and stops running in 2 minutes, then starts again and does the same thing. Changed the water separator filter did not help. Any ideas?

Sounds like it's runnin out of gas. Carb, injected and what have you done?

It has a carb. When it dies I can still see gas going into the carb. Cap and rotate look good. Changed water separate. And put heat in the gas. It was running fine for 3 days with the gas that is in the tank.

If you see gas pouring or dripping into the Venturi’s at idle, that’s not good.

Check for a high float level, or defective needle and seat.

Basically it’s in need of a carb rebuild.
