I have a 2003 sea ray 240 sundeck. There doesn't seem any place on my stern to attach tie downs on my stern from trailer. How do you strap yours down? Thanks

One long ratchet strap. One side hooks to the trailer frame near my tail lights. Then the strap goes up and through the stainless loop on the rear corner of the boat, across the swim platform, through the loop on the other side and down to the trailer frame.

Unfortunately, my 240 doesn’t seem to have those eyelet on back hull on stearn

My Crownline has hooks on the stern and there are hooks on my trailer rails. Just use 2 rachet straps and connect the two hooks

The only reason the u-bolts wouldn't be there is if someone removed them and filled the holes. Did you look on the BOAT (not the swim platform)?

May be up underneath the swim platform as well. They are on my mastercraft at least. I would use transom straps not ratchet straps. you could end up putting stress cracks on your fiberglass ratcheting them down too tight.

I have an 04 sundeck, here is the stainless U bolts they are talking about. To be honest on the short 20 min drive to our normal lake in rural Oklahoma, a lot of times I do not strap down the transom, but last week we trailered 5 hours through cities to lake tenkiller, I strapped down. Crazy drivers them city folk are I tell ya

Thanks...also just wondering, when you put you boat on the trailer...do you power it up to winch roller, wood bunks with carpet.or float boat onto trailer?
Im having some difficulty getting bow to winch roller unless I basically have the trailer under water enough to float boat on..

You don’t want to power load it or you may make some enemies at the boat launch, likely with direct drive or v drive owners since they have no lower unit to tilt. https://www.boat-ed.com/indiana/studyGuide/Do-Not-Power-Load-Your-Boat/10101602_35154/ Just idle it in gear up onto the trailer and then once you stop moving put it in neutral, attach your front strap and winch it up. If you can’t get the front trailer roller under the bow it means you backed your trailer in too deep.

I pulled my boat this morning.
This is how I strap it down. I do this on the front as well. Four heavy duty ratchet straps.

Power loading is perfectly fine and does make things easier. However, it depends on the ramp. A full concrete ramp - go for it (as long as your prop wash won't harm anything). If you've got gravel, then you need to keep it near idle. Have the person in the truck slowly back down as you inch forward. Consider putting plastic slicks on the bunks - MUCH easier than carpet.

You can do it....sometimes you just need a little more speed.

I float mine on until the last foot, then I power up just enough to aid the wife to use the winch. As soon as it bumps the stop I shut it down & trim up to trailer.
